I was attempting to create that clearly defined contrast of a late spring sky....that color when weather suddenly,  unexpectedly changes-- those darker grey clouds, with rain rapidly transitioning to sleet, then snow.....
That particular sky reminds me of tarnished pewter.

the day that inspired this piece began relatively warm....sunny....clear blue sky!  Then--incredibly--temps suddenly plummeted....wind increased....sky gradually became over cast...

And Spring--once again--became Winter!

I am excited to know that my alliteration, once again, has proven to be affective.....as well as learning that the 'tone' of this piece comes through so clearly.....the coldness that i was experiencing at the time--without, and within--
was part of the inspiration.

I lived in a cold climate area for few years and I know that feeling just when you think spring is in the corner, winter spreads its cold bitter hands stealing some more of the budding canvas.

Wonderful 5-7-5 painted picture of words. Few realize how difficult it is to create a complete piece within those perameters but u have certainly done it.

 Yes..you are correct in assuming a bit of a darker quality to this piece! I was at a point, when my emotions had led me into a state of hopelessness. The inspiration resulted from an early Spring day, when Winter was relunctant to give up his frozen hold, and  the sky suddenly became over-cast, the wind shifted direction, and an icy rain, rapidly turned into snow!  Nature also has her way of either throwing temper tantrums, or playing pranks! (lol)
