"First Love"
spoon with the Stevens sisters; brand new wheels
low to the road, sleek, she's even fast parked
deep mid-night blue, metallic flake shimmers
T-tops, four speed, dual exhaust, grilled front shark
four-hundred plus horses, street racing game
American hot rod, Johnny Cool so nods
red light show, pretty girls and high octane
gunning eighty-five hundred revs red-lined roar..
pop..
that clutch and smoke those tires, ease off the gas
slamming second, stomping the accelerator..
cop!..
embedded in my seat, I hold on with my ass
grabbing...

"Bridge Of Old Man Joe"

just a boy in a no name town
crossing " Old Man Joe's Bridge", walking to school
I remember him always busy
in the middle of his bridge
smiling, dancing between cars
selling his papers; waving, singing his spiel,
"Got the news, latest going on.Read all about it."
rain, snow; no matter, hustling hard

Joe always wore his beat-up cap
with his cigar jutting from his mustache
his frayed gloves showing ink stained finger-tips

"Seductress Selene"

maiden eyes reflect the moon
ripples pulse their wave
swan song echoes fade
celestial sips, undulating, mirrored nude
breathless kiss upon day-break
seductress sublime, endless, divine
fulfilled sighs to breathe
deeply in the nights glassing Sea
of Tranquility until her need
surrendering dreams
discovered, eclipsed in a lover's duel
Apollo becomes her lunatic fool
goddess, Selene's edges burn red
beaming madness, escaping, dire, cruel ...

"I Hear The Breath Of A Beast" * Audiam Et Spiritus Pecoris
entered in DH's summoning comp
into the woods afar, here lays yesterday
under the night sky, within a coven of trees
trodden earth, cool air; disturbed of stench, I pray..
deathly quiet, I hear the breath of a beast
echoes linked in time, destiny evoked of shadow
Merciless, show thy hand from the murky depths
unto thou I hold nothing, all words without blood of contract
compass points North, East, South and West
warm taint, flames flicker of wax in black
hold no threat of harm, physical, of mind, spirit or soul ...

Sorrow's Kiss
rain pours down, unrelenting, drenching
the wind blows cold, the priest's words drone.. far away
relatives and friends hold their heads low
black umbrellas, wet over-coats and frowns
a little boy stares empty; only a coffin he sees
clutching a red rose, trembling, sobbing
lost without her..
who will tuck him into bed?.. kiss him good-night?
' I didn't even get to say good-bye' ..

all arms and tentacles, fish-hooks, suction cups.. can't protect my testicles enough
her parrot beak without the feathers, marinated mermaid leather stuffed
Medusa with the dragon almond eyes; those aren't snakes, tendrils take the prize
big eyed demon wants more than spawning salmon semen, or the scuba crew
shark-fin soup and tuna casserole, Mama San wants a Calamari coup
soon'a gon'na sing the Kraken karaoke sole, fillet of flounder flambe'.. fish stew won't do
excus'a the Yakusa, bringing...

"Molten Rain"
sizzling lyrics from the whistling queen Rain,
cometh the Southern thunder-storm of her
down-pour in torrents with a roar
that calls of the sirens to her fame
deluge of the ungluing of her fans with her
simmering ' Wet Words',
behoove the deliciously deserved,
derived from the blue bayou of her sultry voice so stirred..
our souls rendezvous so sensuously..
bleeding rejoice with hers
floating mist, conjuring shift,
soothing shadows in a moistening kiss heard
delving in her spells, she slides mojo in her bravado with Sappho's curves...

" Luhansk"
the Grads scream and thump in the distance .. dark smoke plumes rise
automatic rifle chatter cracks, mechanical dread; tanks and BMP's roar through
crumbled concrete, burned cracks and warped iron, photographs and glass
fallen chairs and strewn papers, missing walls, windows gone.. blown roofs show the sky
dinner table set, rotting meat and crystal filled wine
feel the rain hitting the floor, smudged letters of another time
vacant vacuum but the pall, melted toys smile grotesquely
ghost of far, a feeling of previous lives, pain absorbed
closer...

listening with her eyes, she talks back with a cry, wrapped in cues, aphrodisiac calls sublime
brooding, lingering lips swell lush wet
impressions indelibly left
with a touch from spindling finger-tips, she brushes his skin with her breath
glimpses of her moist tongue.. hungers him for hers'.. that won't subside

in not knowing him, death's hold

beware, your fear is his voracious need
ominous dread, anguished silence felt
ambience of the sorrowful dead feed compelled

desperate performer; as she seems to be portraying now
depravity wets her appetite and cavity with desire
separated to warn her, hunger between.. do I hear her growl?
captivity with her submissive passivity lights the fire
penetrated to warm her.. it's what I require
cognitive dissonance, identify so I may sympathize
let's compromise and improvise with your disguise
shall I permit the guys to...
