the drive
fifteen miles from Rhinelander
tap your foot in time
this sweet harbinger
sounds of a ditty or maybe a rhyme.
sunrise on crystals of snow
feel winter as she blows…
and only to you…the pines…they know.
winding creeks and woodland havens
flocks of the black raven.
memories pieced together, now whole
provide you with firmness that your foot, now holds.
o sweet, you are
twinkling, brighter than,
little tree’s… dog star
my limerick is way much too simple
yet,
will its poetry
etched in warmth by my heart ...

Bare Feet
Under the moonlight
Traces of bare feet in snow
Feeling the cold again

Don't Know How Long She's Been In The Frozen Food Section
A scientific expedition finds
a naked female humanoid
inside the iceberg they
were examining.

Yukon Surreal
Yukon Surreal
Meringue snow
Where stunted pine
Awakens in Cimmerian quiet
To misty-eyed earth
Whose fogbound dream
Could be a barren Scottish highland
Where bagpipes echo
But our Yukon land
A burial ground
Marked by totem poles
To remember lost seasons
When eagle and hawk tribes
Found the path of peace
Meringue snow
Where stunted pine
Awakens in Cimmerian quiet
To misty-eyed earth
Whose fogbound dream
Could be a barren Scottish highland
Where bagpipes echo
But our Yukon land
A burial ground
Marked by totem poles
To remember lost seasons
When eagle and hawk tribes
Found the path of peace
