Relationship Poems

Relationship poems incorporate all aspects of relationships. The good bits when you're falling in love, or finding strength and understanding from a partner or spouse, and the bad bits when things go wrong, or you grow apart, and a relationship ends.

When you Gotta change
Through this life time whether you think that you, don't need to change, but yet in reality you do, whether woman to man and man to woman, for let's look at this time to really analyze, the facts as the truth. For sure how many times have you lost a job and found another one to help in a situation, that is out of our hands and control. BUT yet you chosen to fall apart, with changes of raw and uncut mental health actions, of screaming and yelling things that will affect not you alone but us as well as the depression slowly takes control. BUT then yet you start realize that is not changing, our...

Redacted
The evidence of us
once proudly displayed
has been carefully revised
There wasn't any major cause
just two lost souls
heading in different directions
You owed it to yourself
to find "your" happy
and the easiest way to know
was to extricate yourself
from the internal confusion
I was the sacrifice
and it certainly hurt like hell
being of the mind that I was in this with you
for the long haul
But connections have no guarantees
and I became slowly redacted from your history

Heartbeat
I have money
I'll throw it up to the sky
have blisters on my hands
but I'll keep working
on my knees
if it keeps you satisfied
yes, we mingle
with all the cool people
not my thing
but I see how it makes you feel
just give me this
the time I get
to hold you tight
drifting off into paradise
I'm not too wild
just a little fucked in mind
a kiss on the cheek
sends my demons home
I know you say you're not sexy
but if that's true
then why does my heart keep beating?
hell,...

Unchained
I once conformed to the beaten path,
Believing solitude was a life unfulfilled.
The weight of expectation, a burden to bear,
Each failed relationship a reflection of my worthlessness to share.
But in stillness, I discovered a truth profound,
The emptiness I felt was not solitude, but a love unreciprocated, unbound.
I toiled in relationships, pouring heart and soul,
Only to find myself alone, my spirit growing old.
Now, I shed the chains that society dictates,
Embracing my individuality, no longer hesitant.

I Don't Miss You
Its been long enough
that I dont miss you anymore
that's what I tell myself anyway
I do what I want now
but it feels selfish
like I'm leaving you out
like I'm supposed to ask if you'd like to join me somehow
it feels like I've shed a skin I didn't really
want to be rid of
I catch myself looking for your input on my silent
conversations
your reassurance
but it isn't there
you aren't there
I try to pretend you never existed
but you are written in everything
accumulated over...

The Carbon Family Picnic
At Evergreen Meadow,
The air crackled with excitement. It was the summer solstice, the one day of the year the sprawling Carbon Clan gathered in one place. This year, the honor fell to Carbon-12, their steadfast patriarch, whose sprawling oak tree in Evergreen Meadow served as the clan's traditional meeting spot.
Carbon-12 surveyed the crowd with a warm smile. His countless bonds had created a sprawling family, each member unique, yet undeniably Carbon. There was Carbon-13, his eccentric cousin, juggling aetheric energy orbs while debating the merits of isotopic art with...

In search of inner peace
Through this subject of the course of our lives, when we have to learn to make real life decisions. FOR sure it's gonna be hard, yet it's necessary to understand what it will take to be able to achieve, that what is necessary to have that kind of life. THAT you crave and want and need, to sustain a beautiful quality of life. For sure there will be moments in your life, that you yourself will have to question yourself to realize, that there will be things outside of your own control, as you have to be able to understand the realistically. WHAT you will have to do to correct your own...

Grateful Steps
Love once knocked upon my door,
Soft and sweet, I craved no more.
Dreams were spun in golden thread,
Promises whispered, hopes widespread.
One taught love—a gentle flame,
A warmth that never stayed the same.
One taught loss—a sudden chill,
A silence echoing, deep and still.
One taught patience, one taught pain,
Each a lesson, not in vain.
Through the sorrow, through the ache,
I found strength I feared would break.
Tears that...

The Portrait Of One So Ticklish
Julie smiled big at Tori.
Julie's modeling for Tori's art class project.
That's before Mark walked in.
He sat on top of Julie's back.
Then, he started tickling her all over.

How deep is your love
How deep is your love when it concerns the deepness of your heart, for how deep is your spiritual faith, when it concerns the situations that you had to endure. Were you felt that you were unloved and unappreciated, by just the kindness of your heart when you did something, just because you thought about them in a special way. For how deep is your love, when all you ever really wanted was to be with someone, who has a sense of real commitment and consistency. For sure how deep is your love when you have a sense of what, it means to be able to share your communication skills to articulate....

The Space Between
She's always been something special.
Someone who always had the right words,
the right touch,
the right look,
the right everything for every occasion.
Growing up together,
we were friends before we ever knew what relationships were about.
We laughed before we knew what heartbreak
felt like.
Shared secrets before we understood
their weight.
She's my anchor,
a constant in a world forever changing.
They say a man can't have a woman for a best friend.
They,
whoever they are, ...
Someone who always had the right words,
the right touch,
the right look,
the right everything for every occasion.

We laughed before we knew what heartbreak
