I wasn't sure what had hit me when I woke to the sound of the gong in the morning. Let's go through the list. Hangover, big and ugly. Sore throat, the shivers. Rubbish party on an abandoned fairground last night...a disagreement with Terence Harlesden's son Scott...rain and wind and a wild sea. Your mouth keeps moving

Sunshine
Sitting here in my favorite window seat
as the sun slowly begins its ascent
I reluctantly glance your way
You are snoring away, unaware of my reeling mind
you are perfectly content and at peace in your slumber
A man who used to make me feel more alive & desirable than I've ever felt
is now a stranger
who no longer adds to my life
who is only here to break apart and encumber
I could say that I wish I was green and naive
that i wasn't onto your bullshit,
that I couldn't see through your lies
But that part of me has been well...

When Things are Right - Collaboration with NightGoddess
When things are right, you can just taste it. Simple things can make your day, like the cheese melting on a perfectly crusted slice.
As chef, I was responsible for that imported mozzarella slowly congealing at the right temperature and tempting the juices on my tongue as if nothing else factored into its perfection.
It was like that when I saw her; everything was just perfect. Wearing a tight black dress with an overlay of lace, sheer in areas that would have made any one else blush, I stayed strong, and remained in control. Yet, as she turned, I found my eyes wandering...

Another night, another dream of you.
Trying to reach me through texts messages, saying it wasn't as bad as I expressed it to be.
Yet who are you to speak upon on how it effected me? You're the one who assaulted me.
You're the one who caused all of this.
Saying I should give you the chance to explain yourself, that you deserve to be understood as to why you did what you did to me.
I don't have to understand you, and I won't.
You are not owed understanding or a chance at explaining yourself to someone who tried to talk to you...

there's a deadly combination out there- somewhere-that someone likes....
but the sad truth is that the probability is a forever pending percentage that most likely ranks low rather than high....at least that's what's perceived....
