We're Not High Class (Anymore)
We used to spend days at the shore
but we can't go there anymore
self isolation, masks and more
no, we're not high class anymore
There was a time we had money to blow
now out of work with nothing to show
what on earth are we living for
'cause we're not high class anymore
We never had hard times before
now they keep knocking at our door
we just can't take it anymore

The Slave Théater {Act One}
as time slips into the future
it drags its own unique brand of baggage
of unreconciled relics
and a gang of blame gamers
raging against the machine behind 'enemy' lines
stuck on stagnant rhetoric
choking on wokeness
minds on remedial remote control
emotions enflamed by Molotov cocktails
politically corrected..
castrated ...circumcised...
wandering like an exposed dick-head
in quicksand ideology
regurgitating familiar social hiccups
that was always doomed to fail

Homeless, The First Time
I arrived in London a few hours later and began to panic, overwhelmed by the crowds and the noise. A siren wailed nearby and a police vehicle pulled to a halt. I felt truly lost, mesmerised by the speed of the city and the officers attending to an incident on the opposite corner of the street.

Take What You Need
Got behind an old white man driving a beat up van
On the wrong side of town
Nothing but poor black folk around
He pulled off to the side
He put up a sign
It said, "if you got a family to feed, take what you need"
He pulled out bin after bin of tomatoes and greens
The people were cautious, but they were the happiest people I've seen
He's not blinded by greed
"I've got plenty, take what you need"

Like any old farmer would know

Cracked Concrete
Overpass loaded past its weight
Skybridges tumbling to the ground
Rusty rails bearing no freight
Empty warehouse making no sound
Walking through pockmarked roads
Signs covered in peeling paint
Dreary colors by ghostly abodes
Reeking of atrophic taint
Dead bulbs under setting sun
Where is the streetlight?
Muzzle flash of pride and guns

I rant here first before deciding what to post on social media
I do not want to go back to the normal
before the pandemic-
that was the machine against we should have raged
and that maybe can be changed,
finally,
by local action,
self-reliance,
and service to community.
We can allow unlimited capitalist opportunities
within a framework that socializes
healthcare;
education;
legal defense and treatment;
military defense from foreign enemies;
a 3 branch system of government by popular vote;
minimal housing and minimum, livable or better, wages;
utilities and other...

if I was a billionaire
I wouldn't be for long
would give it away
starting with homeless veterans
that's why I don't understand
being so cold
acting like its money to hoard
do they even see the starving kids?
or single mothers with 3 jobs?
no, they rather look down on them
like they aren't trying hard enough
smashing fist into their dignity
rubbing salt in the wounds
while vacationing in paradise
with no sympathy
on the contrary
they hate the poor for making them uncomfortable
how dare they ruin their day ...
