The Late Anna Karen
You broke your back at your home in January of 2016 when you fell.
You were the last surviving cast member of "On The Buses" but now you have died as well.
You also starred in "Beautiful Thing" and "What's Up Nurse!".
Breaking your back was bad but your death was far worse.
Because of your talent, receiving fame was what was bound to transpire.
Sadly, you died on February the 22nd because your house caught on fire.
It was very sad to learn that your life ended, your fans are grieving because you didn't survive.
You were a British actress who entertained...

Sanford and Steptoe and Son
It has been fifty years since Sanford and Son was first broadcast on TV. It ran for six seasons and 136 episodes. The very first episode aired on January 14, 1972. It's hard to believe that it has been five decades since that sitcom was first broadcast.
What certain people may not know is that Sanford and Son was based on a British sitcom called Steptoe and Son. Fred Sanford was based on Albert Steptoe and Lamont Sanford was based on Harold Steptoe. But Fred and Lamont Sanford were portrayed by black actors. Albert and Harold Steptoe were portrayed by white actors.

Peter Davison's 40th Anniversary As The Doctor
I began watching the classic Doctor Who TV show in early 1984. I was only twelve years old at the time. The first episodes that I watched were Tom Baker episodes. I've always been a huge fan of the classic Doctor Who, but I'm certainly not a fan of the new Doctor Who.
It was forty years ago today when part one of Peter Davison's first Doctor Who episode aired. It aired on January 4, 1982. His first episode is titled "Castrovalva". At the time, Davison was the youngest actor to play the role of The Doctor. He was only thirty when he was chosen for the role in 1981. He was the fifth...

Lovely romantic thing
I saw Ted there
As Heathcliff
On your moor
Having climbed over
An ancient stone wall
Avoiding the Brontes
For some reason
Unknown to me
Old flames perhaps
Too tender the heart
Or out of respect
For what is given
And what is received
I saw you there too
Running wildly
Through joy & tears
Your dress cold & damp
But flying willingly
In a wicked gale
Of driving rain
And you’re smiling
And he’s laughing
Like the wolf
At & for the fox
Who...

Sarah Sutton's Sixtieth Birthday
Today is Sarah Sutton's sixtieth birthday. She's a talented British actress who was born on December 12, 1961. If she lives for another forty years, she will live to be one hundred.
She began acting at the age of nine in A.A. Milne's "Winnie-the-Pooh". She made her first appearance as Baby Roo five days after her 9th birthday at the Phoenix Theatre in London.
She became the youngest British actress to have played Alice in the 1973 television film "Alice Through The Looking Glass". She was also the youngest actress to star as a companion of The Doctor in the classic...

R.I.P. Bob Grant
I wish that I could tell you that he's still alive but sadly, I can't.
He was a talented British actor and his name was Bob Grant.
I hate to say that on November the 8th of 2003, this gifted actor died.
What made his death even more sad was that he committed suicide.
It was his third suicide attempt and he succeeded on his third try.
I feel sorry for him because he was so unhappy that he was determined to die.
His life ended because of carbon monoxide.
That was how that poor man committed suicide.
He starred in "On The Buses" and he did one hell of a...

Walengland (written circa 1996)
They say that if Wales, was carefully flattened out
It would be larger than England, without any doubt
And though its larger populace, is of ovine descent
The people are strong as oxen, from lady to gent
Their voices ring out, in harmonious accord
Of music so sweet, which is worldly adored
The harpists of Wales, accompany this sweet song
Whilst the harpies(1) of England, string them along
Now i am an Englishwoman, and have learn't one good thing
From history books, and Welsh folk, whom smile as they sing
That they are a people,...

A Statement Of A Nation's Pride
Antiquated hypocrisy, and historical echoes
Petty politicians, and ludicrous lords
Where they come from, who really knows
But they are oft crossing, angry, bitter swords
In reality, nothing much has changed
Future prospects, await in vain
As man, and nature, become estranged
A nation's pride, is on the wane
Great expectations, of hope, and glory
A scepter'd isle, now septic
Omnipresent hope, a fictional story?
And the doubting words of a sceptic
Unemployed multitudes, in discontented scorn
Political bias, and...
