My Memoir Grimoire

Letters steadily seep from my pen
soul kissed, finding their sacred spot
casting spells with words
soaking each page with creation
mating with paper for life

My mind, the sun
often so bright I don't
see the words as they come
they spill, blindly
determined to burn alive

At other times
my mind's shadow
howls at the moon
baring its sharp teeth
with every bitten word
scaring my fingers

Each breath, a second of time
spreading to all four corners
of my favorite pages
addicted to the hours
revisited in each timeline

My ears, they've learned to listen
to the lessons of the leaves
they tell secrets about
deals made with death
and the endurance of life

It's a solitary cult obsession
writing My Memoir Grimoire
but my eyes keep me company
never allowing me to be fooled
as to which is witch
