Stop feeding off the negative
Once a week I do a complete shave of my face
I look forward to the warm water, shaving cream and Gillette Razor taking every whisker completely off
As I looked at my face today, the only hair that was left was above my lip
I don’t call this a mustache because I’m not trying to grow one of those
As I stared at myself and looked at the hair above my lip
I said to myself,
what if I donned a toothbrush mustache?
For those of you that don’t know what a toothbrush mustache is,
look at the visual I attached to this story
Not a real attractive mustache but I’m sure you’ve all seen this mustache before
You possibly seen this on the face of silent movie star Charlie Chaplin or comedian Oliver Hardy
But I’m sure you all know who sported this mustache and basically ruined it for anyone that wanted to grow one after the 1940’s
Adolph Hitler!
So, what if I decided to grow this type of mustache?
What will people say or do?
Will I be considered someone promoting hate?
Will I be blacklisted,
or stereotyped as a Conservative Right-Winged Neo-Nazi?
I’m sure I wouldn’t be respected or acknowledged in my community ever again
Society looks and feeds off the negative
Always have and always will!
We don't need people to create a hostile or unfavorable environment for others
Worry about yourselves!
Mind your own business!
Hitler may be considered the most hated figure ever, but for his mustache or his haircut, if someone wants to wear it like him, so be it
Someone's appearance does not mean they have the intentions of a ruthless, genocidal dictator
Perhaps their intentions are more heartfelt and jovial like Oliver Hardy or Chaplin
Maybe the individual promotes,
Love Not Hate
Peace Not War
Life Not Death
An appearance or a look should never be judged by anyone
The old saying “Don’t judge a book by it’s cover”
Respect it, understand it, embed it into your subconscious
This goes out to all of you and myself included!
