he likes things clearly defined
has no patience for semantics
we have that in common
give me clear unfiltered expectations
solid guidelines & understood rules
and I can rock them
because I’ll know exactly what to do
but nebulous concepts
meaning this…
…or maybe that...
always depending on interpretation
confound me
and I don’t like being adrift
they speak from both sides of their mouth
and I’m supposed to just...
figure it out
there’s no reason to their rhyme
no rhyme to their reason
so untidy
give me structure
perfect clarity
pull it all together with decent cohesion
that’s something I can follow
and he says I’m so damn intuitive
never has to say anything twice
maybe...
but it's not the entire truth
I know exactly what he’s meaning
because he speaks clearly
fully answering any questions
and that is my kind of language
direct
clarifying
and very precise

I simply adore this described openness. Being candid is my love language, as well. I have lived life longer than I should have trying my utmost to figure out things via 'context clues' and ultimately failing miserably, so this beautiful type of relationship is truly something important, value and deeply appreciated on my end... well done, you, dear poetess!

Lately I've found myself starting conversations with a variation of "I no longer have a filter...tell me straight..." Sometimes it helps. Sometimes people are too ingrained in their circular language habits to try. Thank you so much! Honored by the list add! 😊
