Where can we find the greatest hope
in this so vast and endless world?
We need support for this hard life
and just in Him it can be found.
When children are afraid, they go
to parents, their secure resort.
They get so fond of those great two
until they turn white-haired and old.
Who can achieve the parents' role
except Who came to earth and wept.
He cured the sick and raised the dead
and had no cushion for His head.
He gave the people bread to eat
and wine to drink that were so dear
as they were His own flesh and blood
endowed in taste the hearts will greet.

So there is a time in which children are no longer "fond" of their parents?
and as to Jesus' intent to "achieve" the safety that one's parents provide, how do you explain the fact that, according to Luke, Jesus said
“If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.”?
and the fact that Jesus notes that following him faithfully will entail suffering, persecution, rejection, and death on a cross?

So there is a time in which children are no longer "fond" of their parents?

**Just** in Jesus and him alone? Not in Buddha or Allah or in being stoic or in Transcendental Meditation or in devotion to Vishnu as many others have found to be the case? If not, why not?
And isn't your claim that Jesus is one who brings peace to the world contradicted by his declaration that one is not to “... think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and one's foes will be members of one's own household” (Matthew 10:34-36).?

You find the answer to your question in the third and fourth lines. You are supposed to be a poet, Baldwin.

I asked several questions. Which one do the lines you point to answer?

And you are supposed to be one who makes true, not question-begging and highly questionable claims.
And the issue is not whether or not I am a poet, but whether what you claim in your submissions is true and is immediately clear..
And those lines you point to do not answer my question of what the hope that all of humankind always has the greatest hope for is since those lines beg the question in postulating that it is always and everywhere to have support for enduring the hardships of life. not to mention that it is only Jesus who can or has provided this.

shouldn't this be "endowed with a taste that all hearts crave"? for your line to be sensible? If not, why not? After all, given the definition of "greet"

What nonsense is the claim
that **only** Jesus can sustain a man
who’s burdened with hard times
and existential blows to his serenity.
Siddhartha’s justly famed
for his bestowing on mankind
the way one’s heart
can subjugate
and then eliminate its pains
and feel with joy the sangha’s blessed
fraternity.
And Muslims hold onto
and propagate, confess,
with grateful and unceasing certainty,
good reasons, too,
the core belief
that al-Salām’s
the only one who
surely brings men peace
for all eternity.
So why should anyone who reads

believe that what you say
