Probably the first song I've written where the words came entirely in response to the music. Usually I work with a poem I've already written. This process felt good.

This stanza, “I’m sorry
My foot got in my mouth again
I’m sorry
I can’t put those words back in
My foot got in my mouth again
I’m sorry” reads like my life’s anthem!!!! 😏
Yeah yeah yeah, you sound and sing gorgeous as per…but the lyrics are so…relatable…real…honest…I don’t have the right word in my current lexicon to laud the amazing-ness of the poem itself. Maybe next year when I graduate into kindergarten 🙄

To answer your question about more comments... I dunno, I guess it's been a quiet week here. Also, it's a poetry site; people aren't really expecting to find songs, I guess. 🤷♀️
Sadly, being able to sing is not enough to make a living at it. I don't have the "whole package", and I didn't start this early enough in life. It's ok; I get to do it the way I want this way.
