I dream of my dad and also deceased brother frequently. It's always just random conversation type dreams. Totally calm.

Both of my parents passed years ago and I have times where they frequently show up in my dreams. I have often wondered myself why this is so but always come up empty handed. I absolutely love Styxian's explanation for it and I will remember it. As for your poem, I think it's very relatable and well written! Thanks for sharing it.

I too dream about my parents.
Often we are together visiting my sister
The dreams are pretty happy and I'm usually an adult in the dreams.
I was a troubled teenager. I often wonder what my parents would think of my poems ?

It's interesting that we start to dream of loved ones or people from our past at certain points in our lives. Who knows what fate has in store. I'd say enjoy the visit. Our brains are computers triggering memories mixed with random scenarios and situations playing all at once.
