I Should be sleeping
Had my first beer in 4 months last night
With lukewarm pizza that got delivered late
I'll tell you about that tomorrow
We'll laugh and complain and then go our own way

The best thing about it is that someone, somewhere is always awake to respond. I can also ask a question on here or on FB before going to bed, and by the morning, someone in another time zone will have replied.

So true! And email too. I'm friends with two people for over twenty years, we've never met. From writing sites! Kids grow up, jobs change, family members pass away, all of it. We talk on the phone very rarely.
Is all that any less of an attachment than "real life" in today's world? I know that I won't abandon them. It isn't love, or a threat. It's the companionship rock solid by time.
