Drowning in Blue Light
Day after day
Night after night
When I'm happy
When I'm sad
Especially when I'm sad
It's the easiest thing in the world, one click
Dopamine
Or it used to be
Ever growing desire met with ever diminishing pleasure
It is the biggest, most collaborative, most wonderful thing we have ever made as a species
I am using It right now
And probably will for the rest of the night
And into the morning

It's on my computer
It's on my phone
It's what I seek when I need distraction
But how can I...

As information is sourced, we knowledge add.
Entertainment is accessed by each ipad.
The cost of research is by the net reduced,
whilst addiction to porn is by it induced.
Banking transactions are by it made easy,
so does the convenience of a shopping spree.
We conveniently send mails by speed of light,
and connect to old buddies beyond our sight.
Its flash of lightening promotes the breaking news,
so does its ill wind the fake ones for our views.
It mocks distance with commercial activities,
and lures perverts to their sexual...

Am I speaking a foreign language on here?
How can my phone be so freekin' stupid
It has more memory than you and me
Ignoring the stroke in my occipitallobe
2 terabytes could download a better spell czeckor!
Messing up my comments and spoiling my poems
Making me say words I never meant to write
Imagine our mouths doing the same thing
Tongue twisters changing whatever we say
Whatever happened to the good old typewriter days
when white out would cover up all my mistakes?
Proofreading was an artform for which I got paid

Subway Cyborgs
Down into the sweltering underground
I go
I am bumped and jostled by sweaty
commuters. Deprived of sufficient coffee
they appear robotic on their way as corpy
wage slave drones
I pretend they are robots or better still
technologically enhanced humans
controlled by super secret artificial
intelligence whereabouts unknown
This strategy allows me to dodge
and duck them without anger or words
like motherfucker. Even the mad rantings
of undomiciled crazy man in flat fedora
stinking of urine and Thunderbird...
I go

Yet shackles of censorship tighten their grip,
On the canvas of freedom, cracks start to rip.
Through the channels of pixels, ideas take flight,
But censorship's whispers cast shadows in the light.
A tug-of-war ensues, a battle unseen,
As digital overlords decide what can be.

A Retrocausal Solastalgia for Pre-Accident Times
A Spirit-Lion crossed my path
and stopped to say hello
the old hyena didn’t laugh
since she was in the know
An iguana rolled its eyes
in feigned forgetfulness
and teasing truth from out the lies
said “YOU have made the mess”
The more-than-human world looked on
and turned to have their say
“the humans may all be soon gone
because they’ve had their day”
I said “a remnant will survive
it’s always been the case
for evolution is alive
with sense of time and place”
