It's wonderful seeing your words again, I found myself listing the poem, then reading it over and over and falling in to it repeatedly. This is gold, it really is. At one point, I felt like you were having a conversation directly at me, and at others discussing my past and future. It's glorious because that is testament to the interconnectedness that you speak of. You have a wonderful ability to take a small thought and expand it into a epic work of art. I love that about your writing.   
     
I don't know, the piece leaves me feeling I should answer a question of some type and the only answer that comes to mind is "yes" - "Absolutely Yes"!

It's an awesome feat to be able to take a feeling and transcribe it into coherence to the point where it means something to myself; then "fingers crossed" 🤞🏻 hope that those arranged thoughts possibly resonate and affect even just one other.... Well, that still leaves me humbled and beyond thankful.  
 
Your insights and the 'feels' you were able to take away, after reading, means to me that the connections via words we here on DUP might share, are possibly more sensitive and more potent than what we might find outside the site, and therefore a bit more understanding.... At least that's how I often feel, myself.... And how effing fortunate is that and are we!?!?

Poetic quantum psychology.....the spectrum of interconnected energies all working in tandem to affect changes in perspective.....

The questions remain the same, though they vary in intensity and meaning throughout our lives.

Love, work, play, growth, mortality....all the benchmarks fold like origami cranes into a flock of memories.

I am taking that last paragraph and fluttering away on it for the rest of my day today, it evokes such a warm, welcoming sense of freedom.... Ahhh...

I believe this is my first critique of a poem on this site. I am not at all a professional literary critic, so I am rather winging it here. I tend to be very self critical of what I write. Since the author wants friendly or positive feedback, I will try to pull my punches. But even if I come across as overly critical, it would have to be taken with a grain of salt since I am not really formally trained in this area. Normally I would be reluctant to critique anyone's poetry, but it seems to be encouraged on this site. So I guess practice makes perfect.

To start, the Poem seems to follow the ABCB rhyming pattern pretty well for the most part. Very rarely do I write and usually don't read poems that don't rhyme. Other than that I don't know of any literary pattern or structure in the poem. The smoothest sounding lines of the poem seem to be:

One step closer...    
to knowing the depths of what we are;  

Beyond that, the poem is (shall I say) colorful and explosive. I am assuming that vivid choppy imagery is the point of the poem and is meant to accentuate Its meaning.

In the comments, people seem to be getting some deep philosophical or spiritual meaning from it that (unfortunately) I seem to be blind to.

I guess I will stop there. I hope this is not too harsh. I will likely need help learning how to be a poetic critic without being too critical.

I'm glad that found a small tidbit of something that potentially spoke to you and I wholeheartedly appreciate the honesty. Btw, no, not overly harsh at all. I'm not formally educated in writing poetry myself, almost all that I've learned has been from the poets and the poetry that I've had the privilege of immersing myself in, here on DUP.  
 
So I'm definitely not offended, no worries! ;)  
 
Also, I believe "To each their own" when appreciating another's poetic voice or art, in general. I feel that personal experience is subjective and can vary greatly from person to person, which is one of the big reason I totally love this artistic poetic journey.  
 
I'm so grateful you decided to add your voice and I (hopefully) look forward to reading more of your work and seeing more of your thoughts via comments, if you so choose... No pressure!!  
 
*The best way to learn how to leave friendly feedback or potential critique, is to read poems find what you really enjoy and then peruse the comments that are left for those poems. It's a great learning tool!!

Said it before, saying it again: I admire your invention, the flow, range and texture of your work!  (Getting difficult to find a piece to comment on, within the first couple of dozen!) :-)   Excellent work!

I appreciate you admiring something like this piece, as it's very far from my comfort zone, not erotica and always a style of writing that I seem to work some of my hardest on. The ease and flow feels a bit forced, even still. However, that's hopefully me nitpicking to death.  

Nahhh... my appeal isn't all that... which is aok. I'm fine writing what feels right in the moment and I take pride in not beating a constant drum of being gimmicky or overt. Plus, I know readership wanes, no matter what but that's also what happens when you pull back on all writing erotica submissions and allow yourself some refreshing freedom.....

I have never come across such a brilliant mating of sensual love and the astral realm. Your use of language is mind-blowing. Truly a conception and confection of all that is profound and beautiful in the universe both human and celestial. Energies here rise and melt into each other like a mosaic of cosmic love.
