Sorrow with Soul departed
consoled by beauty
once shared
in roses and sunflowers
nature once applauded
bursts of sun in clouds
dappled shadows under trees
cold now, for Soul's travelling
autumn leaves in colourful cascades
will again fall on road once known
the garden's untended
the doe and deer wandered off.
