Gogyoshi Poem, Nr.10 — Arrival of the Fittest

Strange fruit with a twist. Dark and thought provoking.

Thanks Kinkpoet for commenting, and the RL. The poem flowed came out of the title which in turn was a response to another poem I'd written, with the title "Survival of the Unfittest" about politicians (not posted on DUP). Glad it was thought-provoking.

Interpretations make for interesting stories ...

This made me smile. Perspective, interpretation, are practically everything. We're all labouring through the lens of our prior experience bias. I try to keep this in mind when interacting with others. 💖🙏

Thank you Daniel. Trying to get away from our own selective bias is a tricky thing. Have been trying to 'straighten myself out' of late by reading Rolf Dobelli's "The Art of Thinking Clearly"; nice short 3-5 page chapters each containing one idea. An easy read. Hard to do.

I think this is terrifically clever. Why couldn’t we have grown from trees? In a parallel universe it makes perfect sense. I’m going to say they get picked and stamped with a sell by date. 😊

"picked and stamped with a sell by date." ... good thinking taking it a stage further. According to a bok I've read recently our "sell-by date" only occurs when somehow deep down we agree with it. Otherwise we keep tick-tocking. Which I find a kind of conforting thought -- no-one dies "before their time", whatever it looks like to others.

Dark and witty humor! I liked this a lot. Pretty creative and ingenious, thinking outside of the box.
