The importance of voting
Let’s focus on this election
tax cuts, the NHS, stopping those boats
Leave the Palestinian question
or else cut your own political throat
Be distracted with nonsense
keeping democracy’s image afloat
If it could actually make a difference
do you think they’d give us a vote?
It’s already decided
we’re an inconsequential side note
Far, far too easily divided
by coloured pins on a coat
Predictably sycophantic
that ministerial gloat
it sails the Atlantic
to find yet...

A man punched another man in the face, in response, the victim savagely beat the assailants wife and children
News report - “Innocent man victim of vicious, unprovoked attack by vile thug
A gunmen hides in a school, armed response police open fire, killing the gunman, 5 teachers and 14 children
News report - “Callous gunmen uses children as human shield”
Caged dog, starved and abused bites owner, owner kills dog, 4 chickens and a squirrel
News report - “Vicious band breed bites the hand that feeds it”

A message to British politicians
Where do you stand on genocide?
it’s complicated I know
when the perpetrators
are stood by your side
Most of the world
take the same view
So what, if anything
are you going to do?
A country is not a race
By saying nothing
you share its disgrace
How can you keep
a straight face,
when you talk of peace
and creating a world that is free?
while profiting from war
yeah we see
Who do you stand for? ...

Helping people cross the road
Helping people cross the road
Strategy 1.
Employ subliminal messaging via all media outlets so people want to cross to the right side. For the few who don’t, encourage social policing, passive aggressive coercion and public ridicule.
Strategy 2.
Make it beneficial to cross to the right side, financially and socially.
Strategy 3.
Make it financially hard and unpopular to be on the wrong side.

Surround the agertaters with agents, acting as friends,...

In The Eyes of Sarajevo
I see a retreating host of forest greens
the patchwork camouflage, cut through
Seemingly tranquil, turquoise mountain streams
an immense force when in full flow
carving empires anew
Strong coffee browns, silent soulful oaks
amber charred yet, no
Passions such a place invokes
Waters, woodlands, iridescent pale blue skies
all captured in the eyes of Sarajevo

for starters
quit the drugs
and the booze
And the football and horses
you know you’re no fun when you loose
Give up the smokes
no jokes
if you can muster the will
And the friend who reminds you,
“Even boredom can kill”
Go sober they told ya
it will all work out fine
But that doesn’t help with the demons
or passing the time

be everything they tell you to be
