Desperate(ly) seeking [humility's fickle death rattle]

A humble rose
of sheer desperation
in a vapid
r a g e
of sunlit clamor
fickle to grow
in that
imperfect soil
or even
such a prideful request
to bloom;
Beautiful,
unto thine own hubris
and only then,
in stark
thorny
spiked-fullness
of forceful cruelty
twice multiplied
Once,
so sweetly scented~
now,
best left to wild abandon
Free and heady
in such alloyed air,
bellowing justly acid rains,
from strangest
unattended creationists
which wetted
those ugly used up petals,
with lessons ought
of previous learned—
Ohh that spiked thornful pride!
How it's the purity of
compassion taught
nay to spiteful blinded
youthful cruelty,
an integral discovered key
to tend a beautiful garden
of truest real beauty
in all that's healthy grown
