Strict moral rules
Strict moral grounds
Tons to follow and obey
Nice for the pure and divine
But we are of humankind
With frailties of all kinds.
Repentance is nice
Confession too
But that never erases
The hypocrisies
And the hurt dealt
Upon many
By more than a few
Hiding behind
The mask of purity.

We're all angels and demons inside; all light and darkness, it just depends on which voice we listen to. And, whether or not we're willing to admit our mistakes to those we've hurt so healing can begin. Too many deny their wrongdoings; or, worse, attempt to deflect from themselves to blame others. In that case, they get what they deserve.

It kind of reminds me of the Salem Witch Trials when little girls would often accuse innocent people. Then again, people have always tried to use purity (or more like innocence) to way favor.
