Parasitic
Our life's
our sorrows
that have yet
to breath
always begins
in our head
within
Formed within thoughts
that slowly spreads
desertification
within our neural net
our vocation broken
twisted
by hindsights
bitter regret
not reading the signs
that were painted
ten feet tall
on those crumbling walls
that used to run along
our borders of intent
where self evidence
once stood proud
Until the day
we joined the herd
the day we believed
the whispering
from shadows
that were never designed
in our name
The day we forgot
the basic rule
to make a difference
to make a change
we must start
by suffering
the pain
of simply being
what we claim
or forever taste
every time we speak
the bitterness
of other peoples
belief's
that we adopt
in our name
to fill
that hollow space
that we create
in our effort
to try
to belong
With a pasted on smile
built on group hug
likes
their shadows
