Let the light

Let the relentless night pass
The darkness
and the cold at last,
surrender
to the warming knowledge
of the light

Let the light illuminate
penetrate the shadows
revealing
what we are blind to see,
ignite
a roaring passion
that burns forever free

As pilgrim, pauper,
princes, thieves and prostitute
alike,
when lost of soul,
or path,
or way
As bright as lightning strike
Let it
lead them from obscurity
into the naked light of day
