Absolutely incredibly worded, Ahavati, and I agree with everything you've stated here elegantly expressed message! This is a wonderful, and I really liked it. It's our actions that count and wishful thinking will only get us so far. Kill them with kindness, as they say :)

We're definitely headed for some kind of big change though, at least here in America. Between the new pandemic, instability in the stock markets, election meddling, oil wars, climate change, and the increasing distrust in the government, coupled with clashing ideologies in a nation which is incredibly divided, there is a lot to think about. We'll see what happens soon enough. I believe that good will ultimately prevail, as I am optimistic! We're all just looking for happiness :)

P.s. I haven't been involved in poetry as much in the past few weeks, as I've been preoccupied with other things, so I'm happy that I got on to see this one today!

This was extremely well crafted verse speaking truth about the last two decades the Internet has existed - waging war with words online is a battle one will always lose if the objective is merely to capture hills and play King. Actions speak louder.

In Buddhism there are the three marks of existence...everything is impermanent...the self is bigger than we think...and life is full of disatisfaction. For many years I thought the First Noble Truth of suffering was all about me lol...now I know that it is the inevitable pain and suffering that I cause others on a daily basis. Nirvana is seeing into the interconnectedness of all this and working with compassion in anyway one can. Your poem points directly at the human condition and our lack of love...and more importantly, our lack of respect and simple friendship. Powerful ink A.
