Insomnia: Dying to Write
.
.
.
.
.
The muse will never let me sleep,
Not even get a bite to eat.
Because the bug runs through my veins,
To write in verse both night and day
Until the Lord my soul to keep.

The muse will never let me sleep,
Not even get a bite to eat.
Because the bug runs through my veins,
To write in verse both night and day
Until the Lord my soul to keep.

It's why I see You here at DUP at
all hrs of the day and night!
Not a good thing
but still a thing.
I play chess and write a lot and talk to myself
(and record) while others sleep.

Re. Insomnia: Dying to Write
intensely put in all its brevity..deeply feeling this dear poetess..
read this in the comp & thanks for entering:)
your essence of the verses here..esp. the last verse
directly takes me to my fav poet's -Pasolini's
lines (though translated of him & though not of insomnia:)
"Poor as the poor I cling
like them, to humiliating hopes;
like them, each day I nearly kill myself
just to live"
thanks again & sorry for the talks in here :( )

Re: Re. Insomnia: Dying to Write
Gracious thanks my endearing Cat, just beside myself you made it over and left me word. A woman’s Muse is often capricious, but seeing your current avatar’s image is worth waiting for, rrrawrrr... xo

Hey Jadey,
Very nice, young lady. You're a writer, always, that's for sure, and we're glad. Hope you're doing well.
Matthew.

Just 3 hours sleep a night? I don't see how you write so well! You do manage, though. Excellent work Jadey.

Oh my dear friend, no, that wasn’t me it was Tallen who said he averages 3 hours of sleep a night. I wish I could, but I’m lucky if I can sleep at all.
I thank you though for giving me your thoughts. And we were able to catch up by phone through the late afternoon. I’ll sure be glad when the gas service is back up so you & Ninja can be warm again. x

You are fortunate, Poet, to have slept, to then awaken. I never sleep until I have no thoughts at all.
I thank you for the visit and the RL.

Welll when you consider I go to bed and only get 3 hrs sleep if that and then I do a 13 hr shift I might be awake from 1am till 11pm then it starts all over again not saying all because of words more maybe because my autistic brain never stops thinking

I appreciate what you’re saying, and mine doesn’t stop either. What I meant was...
I literally black out, passing out. And when I come to, it all repeats.
I’d give my eye teeth for 3 hours of sleep a night, not unconsciousness.
Take care.
