Rocker
He considers the waves of sound
Drifting through his southern wall
Music to his receptive ears
And satisfying to the soul
A collection of the greatest hits
Guns & Roses and the rest
He listens to "Sweet Child 'O Mine"
And absorbs the voice of Axl Rose
Then here comes Metallica
Sinister with their "Sandman"
But he gets off on the ace guitar
An undercurrent of malaise
He clearly has a thing for rock
The classical eluding him
So too with a taste for jazz
He'll settle for The Rolling Stones.

A steady diet of heavy metal is hard on the nerves. I really have an eclectic taste in music. Thanks for the comment LilDragonFly!

Yes, they're an inspiration. The Doors' "L.A. Woman" is a marvel that I wish I could begin to match. Thank you!

You hit the spot my friend. Good music is the source of life and creation. I space out on so many different tastes and sounds, based on how I feel in the moment. From Def Leppard to Bon Jovi, from Pink Floyd to Linkin Park, from Bruce Springsteen to Peter Gabriel, from Guns N Roses to Rage against the machine, from Elton John to Mozart. From mantras to tantras and so on. You are a soul of my generation my friend and art is in your blood. That's why we still believe in poetry. Because poetry is life. Hugs J

You have an excellent and eclectic taste for music, J. You go from Springsteen to Rage Against the Machine, both of whom I'm fond of as well. A delight to know we think alike on rock, although I have my guilty pleasures. Terrific work!

This was so felt. I have an eclectic play list but rock always holds a special place with its own play lists.
Love it

I have a steady diet of rock, and have a YouTube playlist a mile long. It's not just bands like Guns & Roses and Metallica, though. Throw in some Van Morrison and I'm happy. Thank you!

Both great songs. My favourite Metallica ones have always been Unforgiven and Unforgiven 2. As for guns n roses, love rocket queen 😁.

I share your taste in songs, Rjm. Can't say I've ever heard "Rocket Queen" though. I've got some catching up to do. Thank you!

I love music, especially live music ;-) You’d have to live under a rock to not like The Stones. Nice Work Sir Crow :)
