Image for the poem Silhouette

Silhouette

Can only see the silhouette
So ambiguous in form and shape
Reminding me of my regret
A whisper that there's no escape

Haunted by all I can recall
Of victims willing to appear
I prevaricate but take a fall
Dropped harshly by my growing fear

The shadow on the window shade
Forgives me for inflicted pain
It ripples then begins to fade
Soon vanished with the pouring rain.
