the light dealt me a blow            
you know not            
where your home is          
           
you flit in            
& out of sunshine            
emerging for a moment            
then back to the shadows            
           
secret your true nature away            
deep behind a veil of guile            
       
the vulnerable pieces of you            
hid under the lies            
you use for your survival            
           
I see your true nature            
& it shines mightily            
in the universe            
           
a star            
with a quietly singing voice            
blazes a path before you            
           
your beauty is polished            
until it is dazzles            
         
the ash from travel            
in a weary world            
cleansed away            
           
until your soul is crystal clear            
a true vision to behold            
with something truly            
meaningful to hear            
           
you are destined to share            
of your life's travails            
     
to lighten the burden            
for others who think
