pleasantries

see all those
flowerless bygones

living, breathing wounds

cell phone assassins
crumbling mountains like facade

stirs the belly
like a hive

i've learned to exit my skin
stage right

we praise our mother of sky and mitochondria

halo and ash
of the julienned heart

i see you forever

lungs filling up with sunlight
to drown in something pleasant

for a change
