The Pull of Tomorrow
I stood alone
staring upward into the
blackness of night
and the millions
of stars looking down at me
I felt a wrench within my soul
calling attention
to the absolute fact that I was dead
dead, yes, but seeing my future
and hers
reincarnation isn't just a
fanciful figure of my imagination
no . . .
as I remained standing there
I felt a severe tug
within me
it told me I was being reborn
I saw her face
she was waiting for me
staring upward into the
blackness of night
and the millions
of stars looking down at me
I felt a wrench within my soul
calling attention
to the absolute fact that I was dead
dead, yes, but seeing my future
and hers
reincarnation isn't just a
fanciful figure of my imagination
no . . .
as I remained standing there
I felt a severe tug
within me
it told me I was being reborn
I saw her face
she was waiting for me
