Habitual Creature
Glancing at the clock
Observant of the hour
Running late deep underground
Every second counts
Production must not flag
A quota that must be maintained
Volume up to par
But quality in question
Perhaps it's best to take a rest
But he seems compelled
Call it force of habit
To keep writing 'til the fucking end.

....the inconvenience of change, yet there's beauty and comfort in its regularity.
We're all creatures of habits, they guide us through the day, good or bad. I love how you've applied this to DU's subtle power over us. Much enjoy dear Crow.... :)

You're right that there's beauty in change, as long as one can adapt. Comfort may not come easily initially. That might take some work but it pays off. DUP's an excellent place to start. Thanks for the great comment Rain!

It can be a compulsion, but I can't seem to get a grip. It's either hypergraphia or sloth for me it seems. I'm working on it. Thanks Katja!

I don't think there's any question about your own quality Tommie. It's consistently high, so no worries. Thank you!

Ahhhh, mo Chara...
Indeed----there will always be comfort in consistency....that longed for feeling of security that routine and repetition invariably bring to us, Yet....the challenge that change often creates, can be rewarding in itself......when we find the courage and strength---necessary--to give it a chance!
I truly appreciate how you have incorporated the compelling spell that DU manages to cast upon us! Cleverly Created!!!
(BTW....a perfect pic for your piece!!!!)

That metaphorical wall is something to break over and over, lest it stops you from doing anything. Nice visuals Crow.

Wow. I am glad you are bound to the grind like the rest of us. DUP wouldn't be the same without you and your regular contribution.
