A Suicide's moment of Clarity
The darkest hour before the dawn
when spectres, ghosts, spirits and ghouls
walk the grey thin line, moaning
Eyes can see from deepest self
within the sense the third eye
perceive all things, light or darkness
Eyes gazing longingly, lights up high
Hoping for escape from such agony
tortured mind heart body and soul
Drink to invigorate, enjoy the taste
Savour each sip, like butterfly kisses
Love the warmth, like lover's embrace.

After thinking on this a moment Grace,
it kind of gets under your skin... not in
a bad way though.
"The darkest hour before the dawn
when spectres, ghosts, spirits and ghouls
walk the grey thin line, moaning"
I really enjoyed this opening as I've
related to it in the past all to well.
Good pen... Pan

It has been said that death strolls the earth after midnight and swing his scythe as the tide turns. And suicidal thoughts would cross the mind of those afflicted by extreme depression.

So much pain in the lines,Grace
Beautifully written. I've felt that way before too.

Re. A Suicide's moment of Clarity
oh I love this Grace...have teetered here..a precarious place...and had conversation with myriad contradicting thoughts in my head...
to be or not to be and all of that...
you made this beautiful..as you do so many things....lovely as you are (fav avatar yet, a stunner) and so well written...
love

(the second time today reminded of the penile gland..and in convo with Pan, its a itty bitty irony filled place, life)

The varying tones in this is haunting... Very concise, depth filled ink my dear one, n I echo Jen,
Plz still those thoughts of X-ING urself out...

I don't see any depression in this piece honey, or thoughts of suicide for that matter. I only read an appreciation of what's good about life while you are awake. The lover's embrace for example.

Hi there...thank you so much for seeing the positive side of this poem. You are beautiful, London-poets....as you saw that flip side of the coin.
Anyway...the last paragraph or verse is about poison...the suicide's way out...a finale to the depression quoted in the first two verses.
Thank you for reading, kind of you.:)

So close I have been to the moment of focus that I saw my own reflection in the boiling pit beneath me and I was risen from the fate of my own murderous end. For most, clarity comes too late...
