When Words Fail....

   
   
Words hurl heedlessly, as if  
vocal jabs can’t rupture a heart  
and cause a soul to bleed  
   
You should taste your salty sentiments,  
sweeten your words before they disrupt the air.  
Malicious words can expose you;  
revealing an ugly internal you  
   
So,  
don’t be so reckless with them, like they    
don’t dull the sparkle from a smile that once was  
because….  
   
a poisonous tongue can spit words  
that sound like death,    
leaving residue of it’s wrongdoing    
and no amount of I’m sorrys’ and warm apologies....  
can wash them clean
