POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
all in a night
out shopping,
leaving the
store,
saw her alone.
she was sitting near
the edge of a rainbow,
or a bench,
I wasn't really
sure.
she pulled on her
hair nervously
and smiled at me.
I smiled back.
went home and
swam through
dreams as I
slept.
leaving the
store,
saw her alone.
she was sitting near
the edge of a rainbow,
or a bench,
I wasn't really
sure.
she pulled on her
hair nervously
and smiled at me.
I smiled back.
went home and
swam through
dreams as I
slept.

beautiful world
after making
love
lying together
in bed
holding you
in my arms
silence painting
the room in
memory of
pleasure
and for the first
time in a long
time
the world was
beautiful
again
love
lying together
in bed
holding you
in my arms
silence painting
the room in

pleasure

time
the world was
beautiful
again

utopia of an uncertain origin
accepting hell as
causally as others
dine out.
the romance of
making love to
the shadows
of pain.
a bird in the
hand,
birds that flock
together,
birds of
prey,
eyes plucked from
blindness to see
the devils
truth...
that everything
is nothing, and
nothing is
everything,
a commedia
dell 'arte,
and tears are
funny.
it is
to
laugh,
but ...

just ask the deaf
standing in stinking
cat piss rain,
soaked to the bone
with the ammonia
of doubt.
uttered a silent prayer
to God,
"Where do I point the
gun?"
asked the gun,
"Where do I find
God?"
ask John the Baptist,
Joan of Ark, John
Brown.
how would they
answer?
the earth turns in
it's grave,
the early bird gets
the bone,
the poppies get a
needle high.
a page turns
and;
nobody...

the hell of it is
that my underwear
is too
loose
that my age and my

up to each

that apathy is

replaced good old

that the word justice
is just that...a

(except for the
wealthy)
that our schools teach
ignorance and
obedience

...and there you were
that first night I
saw your face,
looked into your
eyes,
I knew all the
old hurts,
all the
broken promises
of a failed past,
that redemption
was possible
and my heart could
laugh
again.

when I am gone
when i am gone,
the stars will continue
to shine.
when i am gone,
the spring will return
and the robins will
find their way home.
when i am gone,
couples will still make
love to each other.
when i am gone,
streetlights will still
guide the way
through the darkness.
when i am gone,
bottles of wine will
continue aging
to perfection.
when i am gone,
I will be gone,
that's it.
...so simple,

living the life
if you actually have
to stop and think about
how important your life is
then you have
totally missed,
the point of living
to stop and think about
how important your life is
then you have
totally missed,
the point of living

I want my bones
bleached white:
white as toothpaste,
white as the soul of
a saint,
white as a money
shot laid across my
face at the end of
long hardcore night.
I want my thoughts
to be snack food
for the gods.
I want degradation,
I want desecration,
i want inspiration.
