Stinging Silence
It was never the words they used that hurt.
The cavalier half baked insults they would spurt
From the tainted mouths of the sweetest angels like water on a hot summer's day.
I never cared about the expressions on their faces,
The almost frenzied look in their half dead eyes,
Using unadulterated force as a half baked disguise,
Pushing back against their demons who told them such lies,
Yearning for control in an uncontrollable world,
Wanting to break free and go places...
It was never them that hurt.

The thoughts in my head flutter by
Like the sliver of intelligence in your eye,
Cheerfully it waves goodbye
As its eaten by that pie
In the corner.

Isn't that Horner's?
Shut up man,
You'll blow my cover
Of darkness.

Marital bliss of the honeymoon couple
Interupted by the pina colada trying to double
His money.
On red I'll place a grande grand

Are they simply never spoken,
Just... left for dead?
What of the thoughts that get forgotten?
That brilliant insight,
The awe inspiring flash of light

my neck hurts
Tossing and turning
I lie awake
My synapses burning,
I struggle to drift
Against the current of an icy river
With a broken paddle and a wet piece of bread
I contemplate all that I've ever done and all I've ever said.
My tumbling thoughts are creating a rift
Between sanity, sleep
And my mind which roams free
I sense that my train of thought is a submarine
And its dived down too deep
No turning back now
I'm just an uncomfortable heap.
I'm consumed by my chaos
My joys and mistakes
Motherfucker,
I need sleep,
For fucksakes!

Falling Feathers(2.0)
Feathers fall without a sound.
Silently stripped from an Angel's wing,
No one ever sees them hit the ground.
Feathers plucked like golden strings
Weaving a melody of hypocrisy,
That plays throughout your nicest dreams
With the sweet and perfect harmony
Of the songs within silent the screams
Of those who fear what the morning brings.
Feathers float in the afternoon air
Witnessing the blind put on masks of all colours
To fool their friends,
Families,
Lovers.
Hearing the deaf proclaim the ideas
Of a little birdie that whispers...

The Remnants
They attacked from all fronts
Crawling out from the deepest trenches,
The bowels of the earth.
Emerging from the murky waters
From oceans we didn't even know could exist.
They came from the skies,
Hiding themselves in mists and clouds.
They permeated the air with a toxic stench
Sucking up our oxygen
Leaving death in its place.
They were in the minds of the creatures we called friends
Our four legged compainions quickly turned on us
Without a second of hesitation
They ripped us to shreds.
We immediately turned...
