Okay Not the End

Loving friends with kind intents,
purveyors of many gentle thoughts,
present me words that do trigger
intentions of a kind not meant.
If it's not okay, you're not there,
there is even more yet to come.
Not yet the end, but if it were
everything will be all okay.

Okay okay okay okay.
It will be in the distant end
okay okay okay okay.

The limbo of in-between is
neither the end nor is it okay.
Please bring the end here to me
or change the meaning of the other.
Either the end or the okay,
one could come before the latter.
Everything will be okay in the end
if I would not wake up tomorrow.

Okay okay okay okay.
It will be in the forced end
okay okay okay okay.

Here I am waiting for the end,
moving toward the finish line,
the place where everything will be
okay okay okay okay.
Okay okay okay okay.
Okay okay okay okay.
Okay okay.
Okay.

The saying "Everything will be okay in the end, and if it's not OK, it is not the end." Is credited to John Lennon. It may be better known as being quoted in the movie “The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel”.

An Exchange With John

All those years ago
on the steps of Saville Row
for once the great man's tongue
was tied
by all those
legal guys
but he could still crack jokes
at their expense
They could clean up the Apple toilets
he said

I had wanted to ask
about Jesus Christ
but there was no more time
and when the white Mercedes
made it through the crowds
none of us could dream
the end that waited years away
outside a New York block
Back then our world
still basked in innocence
and I was just a kid
learning to write
and grow up quick

Taller than I thought
hair dyed red
my reflection dazzled
by those glasses
Yoko so small
a sunbeam smile
his arm around
a sheltering wing
although I sensed
it was really her
protecting him

Truly
legendary

Had to flip a coin between Dave and Abra they're both exceptional writes

Was thinking of cutting the trophy in half with a plazma cutter.

Thanks for all the exceptional entries guys!

They're all great!

Love & light at you all!

A great big thank you for this exquisite trophy, Al  & for playing host when Joburg's underwater with your make up running and the biltong soggier than an old whore's batcave -- but I've posted the cheque anyway so you can afford those water wings I know you've been saving for.
