Needful
within my need is a greediness to be filled
a hunger so great it howls late at night to no one listening
I'm unsure of its depths
but it consumes rapidly, and where the succor goes I don't know
energizing more need
It's feral and unending
It tears at me by day
with thoughts of give me more
My solemn can't take it
my mind will not hunt
It will not encourage
it is chaste of vision
so I starve with this consuming desire
to the point my soul calls out to my God
He is the only one who can touch me there
inside my black faith
With great intrepidation, I worry
was I what was intended

ADDENDUM
I was once
A tattoo gun
I got under your skin
You became art
I was once
A river running
Over your feet
I tickled your heart
I was once
The fire that lit
The pile of brush
In your cultural blaze
I was once
The lips that smoothed
The tips of the twine
When there would be frays
I was once
The iron-willed rim
You rose high above
To throw down the ball
I was once
Your right hand man
But your left hand never
Knew knew me at all

Living Laboratory (Barcode Existence)
no escape to sleep
nothing gentle in breathing
anxiety plays its games
natural genetic weirdo
alternative perspective
an illegal alien
identify as non entity
just barcode my skin
easier that way
calculate true existence
petri dish never lies
biological anomaly
create DNA study
prove human abnormality

Blessed
I feel blessed
With your presence
Having you in my life
Has made all the difference
You're my safe place
My safe harbor
You've seen me at my worst
Yet your love remain constant
I feel secure in knowing
That you will always have my back
No matter what happens
I never heard you complain
You always let me have the final say
In every decisions we make
You always make me feel loved
That I feel smothered at times
You're the best life partner
That one could ever hope to have
Cos you have the heart of gold
And for this I am forever grateful

…and settle down on the edge of the wood.
A lush cushion of green, spotted with a fresh blue
and a faint chime of bells.
In soft focus, the projection lens pulls a rainbow
and places it in the blurry top corner of my eye.
A marginal space of new air,
and a liminal unfolding of the day which I desire
to enter as if in a waltz.
My aperture is fixed though it is wide. I feel composed.
All background noise
melts and bleeds into the shade; the subject is sharp and I hope
for my intentions
and the release of control to become one thing.
To become centred in the heart of things, within it’s womb.

After my Eld
we corporeal are living the dream
our ancestors, past lovers, recent
passer-on’ers, and ancient entities
crave for, long for, envy for and of
so much so, possession is often
the only path to
remembrance and brief Freedom.

electively speaking, it’s my hope
that I am allowed to choose to opt
in or out for a forever existence of
eternal electric flight.
Yeah, I wish all of You well as You
journey thru Heaven & Hell
living the next life full of light and
love.
I’ve always pined to travel.
Outside our Milky Way known
existence is and ever a goal of
Mine.

The Coronation
a caravan of stars
lit up the sky,
placid blue heavens
veiled with soft moon sighs...
the June midnight
seemed a jubilant celebration,
for the dark enchantress-
the mysterious night...
a coronation by the cosmos
for the black beauty
to be the queen of earth
so she could grow in her supremacy;
with each passing day
the night would be longer to stay...
those shimmering stellar gypsies
in hues of gold, red and blue
dazzling the ether
with their joyous laughter,
cool zephyr chasing away
white cottony clouds
so there are no sheep to count;
we creatures of the earth
could lie awake and be spectators
of the spectacular spectacle
of the stars going supernova
in that intoxicating carnival
infused with mystical aroma...
sprinkling their pixie dusts
as they twirled around
...round
and round
...poetry in motion
for the earthbound...

~black spice of times.. this enigmatic ‘now’
a broken black clove
over the blinding blankness
..bit toasted off-white pages
wait to fill in their spaces
from my rolled out scribbles
now..
had spotted them earlier
in these design of destiny
pages… & pressed them
as herbarium .. in an unknown
immediacy of..
what?
lucky though the blackly holed
spiral bound pages.. had held
them still, sans any further loss
until
now..
juggles to & fro from betwixt
the shuffling fingers towards
the unwritten battlegrounds
of clueless spacetimes .. rolls
as an indecisive dice ..
in a crossover passageways
over the nearby acoustical
nostalgic radioing frequencies
.. glorifying Kalidasa Kannadasa
& such breed of Poet eternal..
You
being their epic poetry.. scored
as Maestro’s song .. anchored
in night’s huskiness tones.. pure
love .. undated
as You
ironically digs deep a finite past
of a cried over blackened corner
page .. of my lost forever my..
a miniature black cheetah cat ..
in the mysterious unreturning, its
symbolic mimicking .. a strangely
enough fantaish tiger i kiss each night
now..
all i have infinitely is the YOU, this
now.. holds me unconditionally in

seasons
My life began in the autumn
And my youth was riddled with loss
My adolescence a cold, bitter spell
That froze all of my response
My twenties were the spring
Stretching and unapologetic
Many fears brought many tears
Frost claimed my progress
My thirties will be summer
It’s time to thrive and sweat
All of the deregulated feelings
My past seasons have stored within

1001 Shades of Grey
So far away his heart and mind
I sit in deep thought to ponder
What place do I occupy
and will I be easily overlooked
A glance of loving concern
to assuage this discomfort
I’ve seen it before and fall for its lure
A dim bulb sheds more light
Than my intelligence when measured
To the hope I’ll be the one and only
Fairy tales so aptly named
As neither exist

Lexicographical Interdependence
Day 1: one-syllable words;
Day 2: two-letter words;
Day 3: three-letter words;
Day 4: what could this mean?
Spotting the pattern, said he,
"I'm looking forward to the later rounds...!"
She replied,
"as if I'm going to keep this up for a month!
They take hours, and aren't that good!
Here are my self-imposed criteria;
I urge you to give it a go!"
"Oh," said he,
"you have to do one with 15-letter words,
that's only halfway!"
"Shut up, David!"
"And how shall I shut up, my lady?"
"Accommodatingly and ventriloquizing!
There are some 15-letter words for you.
Put 'em in your pipe and smoke 'em."
Feeling satisfied with the day's work,
she logged off, and went to relax.
"I feel that there was some halfheartedness there,"
scolded David,
"though with some justifiableness.
On an unrelated note,
have you noticed some objectification
of us quadragenarians?"
"Halfheartedness?!
No - simply a spot of intellectualism,
revolutionising the unbelievability
of disenfranchised characteristics.
However, I applaud you
on your bibliographical accomplishments,
and suggest we undertake some experimentation
to ensure that quadragenarians
achieve lexicographical interdependence!"
"Good grief!"

Jackdaws play
I'd say upon,
A blue, blue sky.
Which could be akin to them,
Saying,
We play upon the green,
The grey, the brown.
As they fly by,
Looking down.
Do they watch,
As we drag our clumsy feet?
Watching them bank upon the wind?
They see us,
I know they do.
With sadness.
With fear,
In how they take to flight.
I'd rather they,
Stay awhile and talk.
Introduce to me,
Their racourious caw.
And learn to laugh a little louder,
Knowing not all,
Mean ill.
And now I've been sat awhile ,
My form has melded,
hunched and scribed.
While they settle down to feed,
Amongst the bowls of trees,
Plucking unseen's from the furrows.
I wonder,
How much longer it would be,
To see undone,
All our kind have done.

Lemon Meringue
You say lemon meringue
I say cheesecake
Either way
I know all of us indulge in those little temptations
The way we ourselves enjoy those moments
When the taste hits our tongues
The senses awaken
The mind folds its arms in disapproval
Knowing we broke the rules
We slid back to square one
Once I have a slice
I don’t count the calories
I start calculating
How many miles do I have to run to burn this?
What pace do I have to maintain?
But in the meantime
As I take another bite
I can hear myself hum
(I SAID HUM)
The pastry is so tasty
While my guilt speaks in a little voice
“That’s two miles right there’

Agua Es Vida
When I was younger
I didn't enjoy drinking water.
It was plain, it was boring
it was nothing fancy.
Then time and age rolled in
with beaches of time's sandy grains
weathering at my soul
scraping away youth's naivety.
Until one day I realised
how refreshing the non-taste of water is;
how the plain can be pure and beautiful
and a simply joy of life
in a world so oversaturated with stimulation.
Besides, it works wonders
on my dry wit.

Morning Pain
I hate mornings
Not because I have a job
Or because I stayed up late the night before
But because I get chronic migraines
That usually manifest when I wake up
Some days it's unbearable
To the point I can barely move
Writhing in pain in bed all day
Others are just annoying and a nuisance
That I've been able to push through
Pain that can last days
Drives me crazy
And messes up all the plans I make
I really need to find a better solution
Because it's hard to write like this
