This is my pal Garfield, father to one of my house cats and long-time fixture at the landfill. He's the king of the lowlands (eagles rule the highlands). I feed him sometimes but I'm pretty sure he prefers the meat of young coyotes and foxes. He's a tough customer but I worry about him out there on the wild. Hopefully...I'll see him Monday morning.

Brenda, I loved your little gargoyle! And your art piece is very passionate with all that red. I am reminded of a poppy field and the intense effect of its opium.

Benjamin, what a sweetheart. Do you have an outdoor house with food for him? Many are insulating totes and filling them with hay and food/water.

I've tried to make shelters for him, but I think he's got himself a couple of caves, dens and pipes around the site, and seems to prefer relying on them to anything I could provide. As soon as I have the space, I'll take him in. No excuse for whoever dumped him, but I'm grateful we get to have a relationship. Maybe he trusts me a little more now and will let me build him a shelter. He hasn't allowed any belly rubs yet...and may never, at least to those who value the flesh wrapped 'round their hand bones....his claws are well-practiced and sharp as glass. There was a wound around his left ear and jaw from what I suspect was a fight with a racoon, and he let me doctor that up enough to make the infection go away. He may have some tooth pain.

He does let me pet his head, neck, and parts of his back, without getting too touchy about it. I can usually telegraph when he feels grouchy or over-stimulated. Thanks for asking about him, I'll tell him you said hi!

Here's a good shot of his tiger stripes

Awwwww. How sweet. Yeah he's most likely got a den somewhere. My rescue almost killed my allergies. My son took him and he's doing fine. I held on for a month. I wasn't allergic to Kali at all, but my doc said that we can be allergic to some cats who put off excessive dander - I guess he did. Broke my heart to let him go but I am fine now.

The xmas tree is finally up and lights/garland on thanks to my daughter's help yesterday. I'll complete it this week with my grandprecious after school and family dinner. Christmas is a time of sharing through serving.

Hope everyone has a beautiful season of love and blessings!

*Christmas Magic Miracle Alert*

My wellness-check last month returned excellent bloodwork, EKG, and hearing results. My bone density scan was normal, and I just finished an eye exam yesterday and walked out in shock.

I've worn glasses all my life, I'm talking since I was around 10 years old. For the first time in my life, I heard, "You have 20/20 vision". I had to ask her to repeat that. Twice.  On top of that, my eye health was excellent and resembled that of a 20-year-old! My friend said, "It's all those damn vegetables you eat!"

There was a time in my life ( like, all of it ) I was considered "legally blind" without my glasses. My right eye was 220 and my left was 120 ( somewhere there abouts, trying to remember the numbers what the doc said ). She was totally shocked as well. She said she's seen improvements, but none like this.

For the first time in my life, I walked out of an optometrist's office without needing to purchase a new pair of glasses, and I am no longer considered legally blind.

I was told that I would be receiving an unexpected Christmas blessing. Let me tell you, this was THE most unexpected thing EVER. I thank the magic of Christmas and the Spirit of Christ Consciousness for this beautiful blessing.

Stay true to your heart. Walk your path. Give when and where you can - watch it return 10-fold in ways you would never expect. "For I was blind but now I see."

I hope each of you experience your own Christmas miracle this joyous season of giving!

We are doing well, Christmas is around the corner and tommorow we are putting up our tree, with brand new ornaments and lights! I prepared some fortunes for my family's traditional Bulgarian banitsa with fortunes - one for Christmas, one for New Year;s eve. I can't wait some food and celebrate with family!
