This is one of my favorite times of the year because my Wisteria begins to bloom. Praying this freeze warning doesn't kill it before it's fully bloomed. A Cardinal accompanied me, singing all the while. Leo, the big black stray cat that adopted me, was hit and killed by a car Sunday evening and it broke my heart because he was the sweetest cat.
When I lost my dog, Cooper, a few years ago, a Cardinal followed me around the next day. Same thing here. It's nice to know that there are no forever goodbyes.

Oh my. Do you suppose the cardinal was actually there to comfort you...seems like that to me. 🌹Oh those are beautiful photos...so vibrant.

A lovely thought, A.💐
Grace - I definitely believe that. xo
ajay, thank you. It's from a proverb I read years ago: Those who believe never see each other for the last time.

Happy Spring Equinox Ostara! Can someone help me figure out who this chrysanthemum's parents are?
In national news, it's another good day with good news!

Wysteria also just coming out here, purple and white ones. Been sunny & warm this week but next week it's back to wind & rain, with temperature dropping from 27degC (80F) to 11degC (52F).

It's GLORIOUS here right now but lower temps are expected over the weekend. As well as heavy rain this afternoon. This won't last long.

Wow! VERY surprised today! The temps didn't reach low enough to take out the wisteria! It's in full bloom now and I have people stopping on the side of the road to photograph it.
In local news the circus continues.

Bet you didn't know this about Johnny Cash! I’ve ALWAYS loved this pic but this graphic just takes the cake (and smashes it all over JC’s sweet Piscean face)!

Dreadful past couple of months! One of my two partners, Zoey, had a very awful personal tragedy happen to a family member. Their favorite aunt, Jenell, who was pretty much one of the very few people in their family who actually was decent to me, died. She lived in another state, and everyone wondered why nobody had heard from her for so long. It turned out she was brutally murdered... beaten to death, according to the police report... when some thug broke into her apartment to rob her. So that was horrible! Both Zoey and I cried when we heard the news from Zoey's uncle Jerry... for context, that uncle is the ex-husband of the now tragically deceased aunt. Even worse! Zoey's immediate family were all rude and ignorant about the woman dying, with Zoey's mother Sue and Zoey's sister Megan both claiming that Aunt Jenell is a sinner and is in Hell now because she... just like me... practiced Wicca. Pretty much, they hate me for the same reasons they hated her. Megan's husband Jeff was rude as well and said even nastier things! And they all claim to be "Good Christians" which is honestly such a joke when they disrespect the dead and pronounce judgments upon them that no human being has the right to do. This has caused me to despite Zoey's immediate family more than ever, and things have been very strained at home, of late, because of it all. So... that has been the worst of it.
A minor annoyance was being suspended from Pinterest due to a very stupidly malfunctional A.I. content management system they have in place on there now which messed over me and a bunch of my friends on there... big time. To clarify a bit... a friend of mind posted a picture of his dream house that he is saving up for. A lovely looking house nestled at the base of a grassy hill someplace. He never told me where it was. The A.I. moderator on Pinterest removed that image claiming that it contained "strong sexual content" and thus violated site rules. It was, need I remind you, a picture of a house! I saw it. Nothing even remotely sexual about it. Even so, because that friend of mine had the image on three of his boards, it got removed three times and they suspended his account. Numerous people have been experiencing similar wrongful account suspensions on there, and Pinterest's Reddit page is flooded with complaints over it... my own strongly worded complaint included. I pretty much said that Pinterest is run by a bunch of idiotic fascists! Lol.
How I got suspended was extremely ridiculous! I am a very, very strong supporter of LGBTQIA+ rights, and I had several images on Pinterest devoted to the subject. One of them was an anime style image depicting a male warrior dressed head to toe (and showing no skin except for his face and hands) in leather armor. He was reclining in a tent whilst a rather pretty, androgynous looking male angel was sitting on his lap and kissing his cheek. The angel was wearing purple bloomers, a purple blouse with short puffy sleeves, and a matching vest. It was an innocent sort of image that evoked and had as its' core meaning bisexual love. I had it on two of my boards, and they removed it which counted as two counts of content removal by the A.I. moderator. The, it decided to pick on one of the mythological images I had up on my Chilean art board. It was merely an image of two water nymphs floating in a pool. As with most classical art they were naked of course... as most goddesses and similar beings in ancient art depictions and classical art are. The A.I. moderator decided that apparently classical art is just too much for it to handle, and so it removed that image as well, counting as the third content removal on my Pinterest account. Yet... bear in mind, people have posted tons of nude art on there of far less classy sorts, and none of it was removed ever! As it is, the two nymphs in the art I am talking about were not even fully naked since only their faces and upper bodies could be seen in the water in the image. *Sigh* I guess it was just too modest for the site? Insane! But then... the moment when they decided to suspend my account fully and rather permanently was whilst I was uploading three pics of a fully clothed adult Brooke Shields wearing a long white dress that fully covered her except for her face and arms. THAT was finally too much for Pinterest to handle! Ridiculous beyond reason. If she was any more clothed, she'd have been wearing a burqa!
So, I pretty much said "Good riddance!" to the site and I moved anything I had created myself over to my DeviantArt account, where they actually have sane human moderators who do not randomly remove content unjustly. In fact, over on DeviantArt they even allow full-on adult content and I've posted a lot of stuff on there over the years that would definitely never fly over on Pinterst. Let's just say, my fans on Pinterst have seen every inch of my body over the years! But the photos were artistically done, and not porn, so there is a valid reason for their existence beyond people finding them pleasing to look at. Another rather dear friend of mine, a lovely sixteen-year-old girl by the name of Alia Maryam Bashar, recently set up her own Pinterest account, and so I warned her and gave her a heads up about the A.I. content moderation system on there and how wacky it can be. She's still on there at present, so I can only assume she's found ways of avoiding the ire of the mad moderator bots on that site. I say, more power to her! Hopefully they'll never mess her over like they have so many other people. But goodness! It took me a whole day to move all of my recent artwork from Pinterest on over to DeviantArt, and I still have 85+ artworks of mine left to go. But at least when that is all done, it will all be safe and sound, plus on DeviantArt there have strict copyright rules in place so that nobody will be able to steal my stuff. I've heard of a lot of peoples' art being "yoinked" as it is called...stolen by art thieves basically... and it is not a good thing that this is happening on Pinterest. Whereas on DeviantArt, if anybody tried that they'd be in serious legal trouble due to copyright violations since there both the site as well as the individual artists (artists like me) who upload content to DeviantArt both hold the full legal rights to everything uploaded to the site. So now, at least, the things I created myself will be fully protected... and I was quite smart enough to save to a folder on my computer full copies of any images on Pinterest that I liked looking at (such as those beautiful Brooke Shields photos and other things). Plus, my friend Alia sends me copies of any new images that she thinks that I might like whenever she comes across such things (and she knows my tastes rather well). So, I've lost nothing at all out of moving away from Pinterest and turning to DeviantArt more fully instead. If anything, they lost a very highly interesting a fun person in me! But I'll wager my dear Alia will be the life of the party on there going forward. She's every bit as liberal and vocal about her opinions as I am, so I keep wishing her well.
