Méséglise-la-Vineuse – giving up the ghost

I whisper'd up to drown it out,
the lisping cuss of a dragonfly
and his ornery bluff.

Last seen, the Machiavelli
was gathering before the hawthorn,
reaching through for their hips
and haws of Maastricht wine.

And with a sketch and a thought
as scrawny red as the dawn
I lipped, divined and withdrew from these bloodied wrists
my understudy, my young reserve
who was once so clear
in intention
and consequences
of breaking laws of the land.

With a perfume of burning fields she said,
roll your sleeves up, child, your father thinks you a slob
And I thought that this is what I wanted;
that this is what I needed
as they had sown, entwined
and upholstered my limbs,
with pyjama’d designs
of tigers attacking a horse.

…

...

“Today I reconciled with Durrell and the wonderful beginning of Clea, that kind of 'Anti-Proust' — the miracle of the madeleine mirroring itself inversely in the perverse miracle of Justine's perfume that, when recognized, forever alienates her lover.”

Enjoy the Silence.

I dont mean to get irate when you're asking me questions
When I'm sectioning thoughts
Visiting new dimensions
But im reading a book weaved by my imagination
Thinking of various scenarios
Following intricate machinations

There may be two or three concepts grinding inside of my head
I'll pause one and continue another thought as it makes progress
I may seem stoic or that im not paying attention
But to get angry with my lack of response is simply contentious

I am no dancing monkey here to entertain
When I create it is to excite my wanting brain
You expect a different measure every time these fingers lay
As if to scoff at a composer for not delivering another play

My silence offends like a host refusing to be food
When sometimes we need a break to explore that which controls mood
So if im sitting in a corner laughing to myself amused
Fuck off and stop trying to tell me what to fuckin do.

when the wind gust hits you
and the first few drops
smash into your face
and you witness
the trees bowing
in unison
under its force
the thunderous force
you must know that you are
amongst The Elements
not just your element
for the petrichor
engulfs your lungs
you feel higher than high
like perched on a cliff's edge
and the darkest of grey
signalling their intent
sending down sparks
in patterns of veins
nothing... if you see it( for what it is)
more beautiful
than this coming together
of the elements
the sky touching the land
lightning - its extended hands
the water kissing the sand
the clouds the marching bands
the senses
they're are jolted
into  l i f e
the sight
the sounds
the taste
the smell
the touch
no other joy
as this much

no
this ain't some
elemental violence
it is mother Nature's
answer to silence

The Aficionado

I keep my heart
in my pocket
in a little
brass locket,
with your picture
and a piece
of scripture
engraved
upon my mind

beneath moonbeams
and starshine
hand and hand
we unwind
as we gaze
into each other’s eyes
like honeybees
and butterflies

and I...

take sips of her mind
like the finest wine,
taking my time
to savor
every drop of her flavor

I study her
every movement,
fascinated by her behavior
captivated
by the way her
hips sway
to the music

she's fine art
much like Monet,
with a divine heart
and a beautiful body
that I could
gaze upon
for days

she's simply got
that magic touch
and
I'm not asking much,
just to be her friend

but in the end
I know
that
she
could be
so much more to me

if only in my wildest dreams

Droplets

I'll paint a picture for you
with a thin brush on the canvas
Maybe I do not paint well, I'm sorry
But I really want to so badly

I don't know the grace of lines
I can't mix colors in the right tone
What if I paint a picture
from small droplets of different colors?

Yellow droplets of sun glare -
warm specks of happiness and summer
Quiet tenderness will spread
in pink like clouds at dawn

Green drops - they absorbed freshness,
leaves and herbs on wet ground
Transparent drops - drops of sadness
tears of rain on the cold glass

Scarlet droplets, beads of blood
I will gather under a scarred heart
Dairy drops are the ones that will cover
warm lips and provide nourishment

Blue drops - the sea splashes
in memory of seagulls, freedom and wind
Black droplets - splash out grief
drops of fear, drops of death

The only pity is that I cannot complete
this painting, even though I desire to
I miss the DROPS OF LIFE,
They are not among my colors -
Mother of pearl

The incompleteness is so tangible
The idea was not realized, but
I will give you this picture,
maybe YOU can finish it ...

There's no "Us" or "Them" only "We"~the people.

It is the sensible fear
that should permeate in
A purposeful avoidance of conjecture
Lies
and ridiculous spin

Contortions of facts,
drive the sane to madness
Reality, seems it's a new grown sinew
which connects proven facts
and scientific truth to all those that will act

Hunkered down,
A distance of separate
Today we log on and only choose to confirm the EXACT same,
how ideologically desperate

Never taking time
to expand our own minds;
Due diligence, just ignored
preferred to be spoonfed by poison
that impersonates truths that are roared

If it were just myself that was a worry
there'd be less consternation and fear
However, it's MY loved ones that will suffer
do to malignant ignorance of those refusing to
see what is so painfully (crystal) clear

This self imposed oasis
consequences- unwanted and unintended,
Consistent wishes for "normalcy's" resurgence,
a simple 'do what's right' - equivalent to
a nightmare soon to be ended

Desire, want and need build
as do pleas and cries
finally a turn into cautious optimistic sighs;
A relished relief
A vaccination of hope

Prayers are forecast; a new day is upon
Thoughts into action as imposters are all gone
Soon with delivery on it's way,
a welcomed goodbye to far too many graves
Ohh, such glorious reinvigorated proof
to see just how science brilliantly saves

Despite millions who spread deadly lies-
and tried to perpetrate a bullshit hoax
while hundreds of thousands died
Yes, despite 'alternative facts'(lies)
propaganda, and partisan spin, (more lies)
Today, right this minute, within A NEW DAWN
We The People
will have soon perpetrated our very own win
