Those Memorable Days
A creative author has composed a poem about past events
Her poem recaptures the romantic era of the 1950’s and 1960’s
It highlights the good and bad experiences of teenagers
The girls receive cards and flowers from admirers in high school
And the cheerleaders flirt with the boys on the football team
She recalls the magic of holiday camps, promenades, practical jokes,
And the impermissible house parties when parents are away
Boarders are infatuated with one another amid the excitement
Some popular figures make out on the back seat of convertibles, ...

Anonymous Love Letters
The girl who sits beside me in class looks ravishing,
But I'm too shy to tell her that I love her
I write her anonymous love letters each day
And I convey the love in my heart for her
I can’t prevent tears from filling my eyes
Whenever I’m daydreaming about her love
My passion for her will get me nowhere,
Since she doesn’t know how I feel about her
I just can’t help writing erotic things
When my favourite classmate is on my mind
The moving lines reflect my adoration for her
I compose love letters from the heart
And...

The Wonderful Memories Of You
The wonderful memories of you are still on my mind.
And I would rather not forget the good times.
I remember the stroll with you along the quiet avenue,
The warm night you kissed me in the moonlight,
And the way you clasped my hand when we sat on the bench.
I think about the picnic in the park on a windy afternoon,
Our first ride on the merry-go-round together,
And the evening we shared an umbrella in the downpour.
I recall the hours we spent on campus after school,
How fast you ran when I chased after you,
The laughter that...

An Expression of Love Turned To Shame
What I speak of is mostly speculation
About how sex is treated within this nation
My theory begins at the base with education
When children ask a not so polite question
Adults screw their faces in consternation
Why is little Timmy asking of babies and gestation
It is not prudent to teach such filth and demoralization
It is the schools job
But...
Don’t spark Timmy’s imagination!
In the U.S, we preach the birds and the bees jargon
Where in Europe children get an eyeful of...

Humble B. Bumble : 7. Bee Plus
Sure it’s nice to learn, but I could never sit still…
(Humble! Sit up properly in your chair and stop moving about!)
I had my head in the clouds; never my mind on the quill…
(Humble! Are your listening!? What was I talking about!?)
The teachers liked to talk and I would nod my head,
But I was only there in bee form;
My head was elsewhere, so I would forget,
Everything they taught.
Humble wants to go outside!
Not bee stuck indoors.
There she goes again,
Talking about subtraction and multiplication, or...

Humble B. Bumble : 5. Beeside signs
One day Humble was in his nursery class learning,
About the A-Bee-See’s;
When the teacher, Miss Guide-Bee,
Told them all that later that day,
The would bee meeting the Seebee.
She asked if they would all listen to what he had to say,
Because it may help them in the future, maybe, one day.
They were taught about what bee’s needed to do,
In the future to co-exist
And how every part of the bee machine,
Was needed to continue helping the hive to live.
If every bee knew their role in society ...

Humble B. Bumble : 4. Way to bee!
As Humble walked with his parents into the bee nursery,
He saw the other proud parents with their own little bees.
Eventually the teacher said, excuse me parents,
I will have to ask you to say your goodbyes;
We must proceed with today’s event…
As the parents left and the larvae bees took their seats,
The teacher, Miss Softly-Spoken said
Today children we are going to have A Spelling Bee.
I would like you all to welcome The Spelling Tree!
The Spelling Tree walked in with a miserable face. ...

The Proud Pilot
A fighter pilot of the noblest kind,
flew quite quietly in hopes to find,
the world renowned Bermuda Triangle,
(and using the correct coordinated angle)
did in fact prove its very existence,
You see, he felt it was just common sense.
He was a dignified sort of fellow,
always wore a medal golden yellow.
given to him by a worthy general,
worth more than any diamond mineral!
In a uniform, he’s rather dashing.
oh yes, the ladies thought he looked smashing.
Women weren’t impervious to his charms,
when he crash-landed near...

GRADUATION
I thought four years would be forever and not end
That somehow one year would be like ten
Looking at pictures of my classmates
Some have not changed
Those who have
Either way, I still remember us as teens
Now we have matured
Out of our childhood shells
We will never be children again
Twenty-something years ago seems so far away
I can still feel the warmth of the eighty-degree sun beating down on our cloaks
Guys in black
Girls in red
Remembering the excitement as it was...

Professorial Privilege
Professorial Privilege
Poised at the chalkboard she writes formulas wearing a mini-skirt. Her derriere is barely concealed and she dips daintily down at the waist. She is a scholar and a seductress with a figure more beautiful than any algebraic equation. My mind is mesmerized by her curves. My eyes are led astray from Pythagorean Theorem. Perhaps she is a feminist saboteur playing on vulnerable male libidos.
A man protests that her dress drives him to distraction. Her non-compliance is expressed by silence as she obdurately prances. Clad as...
