Letter to the guy on the train
Hey man
I hope I didn't make you uncomfortable
I wasn't staring because you're weird looking
or because I wanted to get in your pants
not that I'm sure you saw me
while playing games on your phone
You have a really nice face
and I have a sketch book in my bag
and let's be honest
this 2 hour train journey is boring as fuck
so I thought I'd draw you
Portraits aren't really my forte
but I'm pretty happy with the way
my scribbling captured the sleepy
downcast look of your eyes ...

Sign Of The Times
I wanted to do an essay on something fundamental a little less mentally evasive, however my pen seems to take me in the direction of the calling of the wind. I will have a voice on something that has recently been brought to my attention, which must be addressed. In private as well as in open forum.

what a day!
the sun was out today
smiling like a child on
the last day of school
cars zipping past cars
oblivious to their
drivers
the sun was out today
as playful as a dog fetching
a stck in some backyard
brunch was a miracle
rainbow laying across
my plate
people laughed as the sun
shined down and spirits
rose like shipwrecked
treasures
the sun was out today
and curled up into a
ball like some great
orange tabby cat on
the blue blanket of
sky

Angel in Mexico
Angel in Mexico
An emaciated woman in a Mexican daze
Carries a baby in arms still strong
Enough to love this child she bears
Wife’s bodhisattva halo embraces the nativity
of a Mesoamerican Madonna holding her baby
in a circle of love.
Beatified in luminescence
Ascetic body lost to hunger
Golden daughter of creation whose son shines
Like the gold-leafed pages
In her book of divine love
His nursery rhyme eyes
Are a shanty-town of tears
My Spanish doesn’t cover her “Leche, leche”
But my wife puts...

Rainy Day De-Compress
Rainy, cold, down internet
Work drones on and on
A day one wants to forget.
Muscles ache, head foggy
Your core feels tired and groggy.
Your mind and body need,
rejoice and care,
to heighten your libido and savor-faire.
Come to me for a delicate, leisurely scented-oil massage
To relieve the ache and memory of a work day.
Before you know it,
you'll want to "play."
Work drones on and on

I Am A Human In Life
I am a human in Life
Willing to walk
What life grants of paths
With a heart full of chambers
Of huge space
Allowing each smile
Each tear
To set their load on my face.
I believe in the knight
A visitor of dreams
A dweller of nights
Dreams that roam a world
Of their own
No room for a danger zone
No words would contain
Their very tone..
I am a human in Life
I have faith
In what my soul could feel
Despite a thousand miles
And the grief I could see

The Weight of Care ...
Don’t we ever grow weary of this act,
This endless caring, this fragile art?
Caring how we feel, our hearts laid bare,
Caring how others feel, their burdens to share.
Yet seldom do we pause, seldom do we see,
That we don’t feel like them, nor they like we.
It seem loadsome and heavy this thing, to carry the we,
To make their troubles ours, their joy an act
Of mutual faith, though rarely do we see
An arm extended back, a mirrored art.
It tires the soul, this caring we share,
This weight we bear, our hearts threadbare.

Wise old trees
Whispering mysteries
Tiny plant devas
Buzzing around wildflowers
Healing water of life
Flowing above gnarly roots

Creations and twists, that impress
And the manifest of the thoughts
Bared like the sun, easily expressed
I read the finest quills, the nobler
The thinker, and the mystical worder
And the true lover, who sheds his blood
With every word spilled, romanticized
I read the wordsmith and the weaker
And the mediocre and the "show-offs"
