That’s How it Goes
I lift you up
I watch you soar
I grab hold of your kite strings
Then I won’t continue to tumble
I watch you soar
I grab hold of your kite strings
Then I won’t continue to tumble

One is darkness, One is light
When I am waking up, I am still asleep
My eyes are open, although my eyes are closed
I arise and wonder who will I be today?
Maybe I will be the one I am, or the one I am?
I am two but there is just one soul
Just one heart to supply us both
I don’t know who I really am
All I know is that I will always change
One is calm, the other's wild
We both have dreams and things undone
Now you see me now you don't
I am a human chameleon
It's hard to find a friend
That can cope with what I am
One day every mothers...

the acts of the souless
your careless handling of my soul
bruised redemption another piece of my soul gone
sadness collects who she can
the delicate parts of my feelings recess to the shadows
forlorn they don't know how to pretend they love
they are cherry blossoms in spring
falling from the trees to never blossom
the wind carried their fragile petals away
what might have been, fell to the ground in dismay
brightly colored pain
true in my forlorn state
if you get a smile from me
it will warm your soul
there are those...

Fall
It’s that time of year.
When hot chocolate is being made
Cozy movies are being watched.
Friends become lovers to keep the other warm.
The fires in the fireplace are being lit.
The day’s crucial events do not seem so crucial.
Cuddling together
One laying on the lap of the other while hair is stroked
In the silence of the room
You close your eyes and listen to the sound.
Breath’s in and out lulling you into serenity.
A downy light touch on the neck creates a slow hum within
Neither one realizes the event is being...

Better Tomorrows
Once there was a holiday story,
of silver metallic moonlight,
that contained embryonic beams
of better tomorrows.
A story of sequined arch angel wings, cradling my wounded thoughts
and haunted sorrows.
Healing shine for my tattered soul's terrain.
The magic light of Christmas, for many,
grows old.
But not for me.
Despite competing trees
festooned in shimmery gold.
Excitement tinged,
swirling winter winds.
Proke nostalgia for long forgotten kin.
No one sets out to be forgotten.
Be remembered for the lives...

Cancerian Moon
I dreamt last night
that we—
arch enemies
sworn adversaries—
were alone in a room
Through something I can't explain
the wall between us was felled
crumbled by a force
greater than anything I'd ever felt
I don't know what overtook me
in that moment
but I reached out
and hugged you
tightly
Told you that I was sorry
for hurting you in any way
you said, 'Me too'.
It was that simple
so easy to let bygones
dissipate and become
what they were meant to be ...
that we—

sworn adversaries—
were alone in a room

SAFE SEX ADVICE FOR A NIGHT OUT
If you anticipate a 'shag',
A one-off sex encounter,
Take a condom, in your handbag,
You can offer to your mounter.
They are not made to stop the fun
But protect your sexual health
When you're together, one to one.
Condom him, not condemn yourself.
To see you take the condom out
Shows your availability
And intent to keep safe, no doubt,
From an unwanted STD.
Think this, offering protection
Can come across as loving,
Make sex an act of affection
Rather than a 'wham bam' shoving. ...

If Only
I want to write a poem,some prose,
some words
that enter your heart
which is really your mind.
I want you to read those words
and weep with me for our collective suffering.
to smell the cordite in Gaza
and witness the broken homes and bodies in the Ukraine
To taste the suffering of those huddled in some dreary, cold alcove in your own country.
I want you to read my words and know our shared human experience.
Their suffering is not just theirs
It's yours,it's mine,it's our planets.
I'd love to write words so ...

which is really your mind.
I want you to read those words

Midsummer Legacies
Oh how I wish there's a future for those,
Who have already abandoned all hope,
Full of the primrose suppliant meadows
In which young lovers would love to elope
And to prove therein that their elders knew
That futures were always the kind of thing
Wherein more than some expectations grew
Beyond a romantic midsummer fling
Where the reaping that we thoughtlessly sow
In the heydays of our uncouth youth
Might have some exponential loving grow
Into a shrine for holistic truth...
Whereby the offspring of all fervid love ...
Who have already abandoned all hope,
Full of the primrose suppliant meadows
In which young lovers would love to elope
And to prove therein that their elders knew
That futures were always the kind of thing
Wherein more than some expectations grew

WHAT DOES IT MEAN
It's me again the story teller of words ✍️. For what does it mean when you finally find that one, who has changed your life around for the betterment of life. 🙏 AS a blessing from above the skies to be here upon this Earth. 🌎 THAT someone chooses you to be that one. For sure what does it mean, to be able to share your thoughts and insight and spiritual soul, with subconsciousness of your own connection to be as one love. For sure what does it mean, when you finally met your better half of the emptiness, of the very space behind the close door of so long ago...

mask off...naked eyes
I used to believe I was a master at masking
no one could read beneath my eyes
but I've recently revised my opinion
people will see what you want them to see
what they want to see
because removing the mask from view
...makes them uncomfortable
...it only leads to questions
possible expenditures of compassion
once they finally learn the answers
and let's face it...
we're all operating at maximum
not much left...
for the pain we don't have the capacity to acknowledge
if it's not our own...
...somebody else's problem...
no one could read beneath my eyes
but I've recently revised my opinion
people will see what you want them to see
