drivers

a stck in some backyard

brunch was a miracle
rainbow laying across
my plate

people laughed as the sun
shined down and spirits
rose like shipwrecked
treasures

the sun was out today
and curled up into a
ball like some great
orange tabby cat on
the blue blanket of
sky

choirs in churches sang

everyone got raises at
work

people took back their
words of hate and hurt
