Home no More
Home no More
The sticker slapped upon my door
Informs me that we have a home no more
Gather up the wife and children with not much more than the clothes that hang off of us
At least it’s summertime I guess we won’t freeze sleeping under the night sky
But the season will change and we don’t have enough blankets to keep us warm
So we go to the shelter that is overflowing
With despair and broken human beings
In the darkness the vultures prey upon the few objects that we still own so we are back out on the cold...

A 170 Million Dollar Scheme
A thin skinned con man's wet dream
With Sycophants that will kiss his ring and @ss
while dining on Pheasant under glass

Never Goes Out Of Style
In America when it comes to fashion there is always a change
and clothes come in a wide price range
sometimes dresses, and sweaters have suede or leather patches
made in china in large batches
there are an infinite number of accessories
that shine like lights on Christmas trees
but, when comes to race, folks walk around with a phony smile
with hate in their hearts-that never goes out of style

Blindness Of The Eyed Ones
It's so easy to write more words
vanity and levity, that say less
much the same when you talk too much
while your speech is meaningless
even at more lower level when you lie
in this mature age and awareness...............
when the child lies we blame the kid
scald him sometimes, hurt his feelings
don't we realize that they are our seed
Then, we reject the crops that we have sown
shameful when the child read our sickness,
see our vulnerability, watch how weak
we present our poetic selves....

Executive Fever
Marked safe from tears when shitty bosses die
I think of the long stingy road to this,
where estimation will not even try
to have no obligation go amiss
in a republic of the free and brave;
free, that is, to accumulate more debt,
as less and less we can keep from the grave,
unless lotteries are a winning bet.
Yet in this mess they say the boss is right
and that the private jet and private yacht
are not somehow an ecologic blight
where at least the Orcas have not been bought
and know damn well that they can't trust a boat ...

In doorway forty three
she clings to cardboard skirts
though homeless is no crime

The Cry of The Hungry
In the land where the sun kisses the soil
Where abundance once sprang from honest toil
Now hunger prowls... like a restless beast
And famine mocks every hoped-for feast
The yam barns are empty... the granaries bare
The fields once golden... now stripped of care
Scarcity spreads... like harmattan dust
A bitter curse... on a broken trust
A goat tied too long... will chew the rope
But here even ropes... can’t kindle hope

A popular vote of low self-esteem
was all it took for billionaires to win
the war they waged on freedom's ringing dream
to escape from Europe's wages and sin
and next you know they'll elect the shooters
who made the kindergartens an abattoir,
or industry rife with more polluters
so egos can reach as high as a star
for profits to blast to the moon and back
and pay for the overclass rocketeer

Behavior marks us all as good or bad
with dissension evermore in the ranks
of any milieu that we've ever had
from the front lines to the national banks
with most of us opting for something nice
to showcase our variety of thought
and by considerations twice and thrice
we see common ground as a tiny plot
which serves the public as a litmus test
to show who is greedy and who is not
in the melee to see just what is best
in the public policies that we've got
and thereby we know that to privatize ...

they voted against both at every chance
as they demonstrated knavery
at each legislative circumstance
to block all working class opportunity
since they only want commoners to work;
as evident by importunity
