How About I Answer That Question This Way?
How about
I answer that question
this way? Is it true that you want to
outlaw the practice of men going shirtless due
to the fact you do not wish women
to do the same thing no
matter what?

Same Tree
Kill each other over our religions
End other lives for what we believe
We have taken men
Hung them right up there
For the color of their skin
Right up in our tree
That tree we carved our names into
Heart with an arrow
Shot clean through
I can't forget him
I can't forget them
I hope you never will
Hate them for what they believe in
Hates me back for the very same
Take these guns onto the fields
Our blood runs onto its leaves
Those leaves that fell so...

The soul of torture is male. - comment on an exhibit card at The Museum of Criminology and Torture, San Gimignano, Italy
The warded instruments of pain

sweet creatures of the foliage…
You wonder why I’ve brought you here,

‘It’s history’ I say, and so you file it away

Child Sexual Exploitation and Violence
Our patriarchal culture normalizes significant damage to young girls who are still growing into themselves and learning what life is about. It's seen as a "normal" thing for big men to be with school girls. Young girls (particularly Black girls) are often labelled as "fast" and "grown." The blame is always heaped at their feet and this ensures that big men can continue to prey on them without ever receiving any criticism/repercussion for their predatory actions. Victim blaming is dangerous and results in many silently accepting abuse because they know majority of society will have no real...

I want to be a human,
But you will not agree.
Leave me be and set me free.
Give me the independence which you have...
That is all I ask.
Treat me as an equal;
Am I not one of your people?
Am I just a robot, to be forgot?
Should I just be ignored?
I am not just yours.
I am not my own,
I am your creation.
Give my your debris
And I will build a home and find my nation.
I am immortal, so I must watch you die.

Allow me to cry.

It's democracy's reluctant leaders
Who give liberty its fighting edge
As well as the contemplative readers
Sifting the rhetorical sortilege
The too proud fascist thinks will make us great
When the wisest among us know full well
That vainglory is the number one trait
Which sends humanity strait into hell.
But we don't see despots leading the charge
Into Armageddon's smoldering pits
Since conservatives may remain at large
If they can just send in the untaught twits,
Leaving the instigators off the hook ...

If there is a god, its name is process.
Even ideation will need supplies
And all of this troubles those who obsess
Far too much about providential eyes.
The meaning is clear. Students need breakfast
And they need lunch and dinner and dessert
If we expect the scholarship to last
Or skill sets to remain fresh and alert...
And that is why the Sergeants of supply
Are more important than the oligarchs
Promoting policy which will deny
School libraries shelving Karl Marx,
Who understood the ways of modern man

hello, Mr Government. This is buddhakitty
hello Mr Government,
my name is buddhakitty
and I want to thank you
for doing nothing to solve
even the smallest, simplest
problems for the American
public which you so proudly
profess to serve
congrats on the division,
lack of cooperation and
the general overall failure
to come together for the
greater good of our
country
bravo for the visionaries
you are for never letting
an opportunity pass in using
and manipulating the publc
for your own megalomaniac
needs ...

when I think of it I see
a little room,
a bland white box, perhaps,
with smiling do-good chaps
whose dark pronouncements
resemble prayers about
a great monstrosity, the oddments
of their trade removed
and placed on a subject’s temples.
the smile itself is a temple on
these sheer and tense faces,
betraying inhuman design
as if to say ‘we’ll make you well again,
with just a little of the rope, thumbscrew,
and electricity, we’ll straighten you out
and make you anew.’
and so with much screaming later ...

Justice
Blacks get more time than whites.
The police love to read our rights.
The justice system is so damn dirty.
Damn, they don't show any mercy.
They're supposed to serve and protect.
But yet they don't give us any respect.
Because it's the color of my skin.
Like being black is an awful sin.
They say we gotta vote for change.
These laws gotta be rearranged.
Living in this world we're not equal.
We live in a world full of evil.
I'm not doing this for likes and views.
Blacks being killed is always in the news.

Self Provided Philosophical Fellatio
Am I normal?
Am I regular?
Am I different?
Am I special?
How do I fit in?
Where do I fit in?
Who are my people?
Where is my home?
These are all questions that in this modern age of a more liberal society all young adults are almost required to ask themselves. Everywhere, people always want to know where they fit in and how they are special. But the problem with this progression fueled thought process where we give people more and more reins and labels to control themselves and live their own lives, as they...
