Dodging Bullets
It was after the two-hour wait and the ensuing letter
That I read the words out loud
As proof of a broken contract
In front of all the guests
Not to so much as to smear or slander
But rather for the reality to settle in everyone’s mind
Especially my own
What should have been the happiest day
Was now a shock and awe moment
Perhaps dodging bullets should also be celebrated
Hell, it’s another chance at life
I rather feel the pain now than spend months
Maybe even years
Invested in something that would’ve broken me even more ...
That I read the words out loud
As proof of a broken contract
In front of all the guests

Totally sad
A beautiful day in Darmstadt
As the young couple sought a quiet place
In the nearby wood.
In the shade. Discreet.
They walked along a narow path.
Around the bend Martha noticed a bunched up white sheet
Splashed with a lot of red wine.
Mark looked closer, saw long brown hair entertwined with branches
The body of a young woman
Mark puked, Martha screamed.
Police were called.
Turned out that the young lady, by the name of Anna Göldi Mayer
Was part of a sect, killed by her lover as a sacrifice and in penitence
To his god Besha. ...

Lasts a hundred years at most
A mere blink of an eye
Compared to the time I’ve had with you

Delta Dawn
greetings celestial faith
the garden groans and I with her
she has blossomed in winter
no less than a miracle
watch her shine
shimmering dalliance, a dahlia
with her own love to give
flourishing hope she dances stem on wind
delicate petals, so beautiful in her natural state
budding truth in the shadow of doubt
nectar of the Gods, a serum to cure memory
innocence deceived, such a long road it's been
tiny lover of man

challenging the thickets for placement

Ice Knife
it used to be
i’d wake to your heart beat
should of been easy to see
but I was in love, in love
with the way you were using me
guess it’s true what they say
the more beautiful the girl
the sharper her fangs
