Spy among Us
Tentacle stretches across the sea floor
With some suckers on his arm gripping onto his prey
When he’s with a friend wraps his arm around
And hugs him up
As a hermit crab searches for a new home
So they line up size by size to find a new apartment
With a camera on his shell so I can see
What’s going on in the land of the hermits
They proceed to move into their new shell
Some happy some not so much
A pigs day begins in the Caribbean
Swimming in the ocean
They swim like Michael...

Rebel Girl Mclean
On Monday afternoon, a middle-aged man named Zaire went downtown to buy goldfish for his aquarium. He bought two goldfish from a vendor on King Street, and then he headed for the taxi stand on West Street. When he reached the taxi stand, he saw a large group of people including schoolchildren standing there waiting for Maxfield taxis. At that moment, no taxi was there loading. He thought to himself that he would not get the chance to get on a taxi because the crowd would rush into any taxi that arrived there. Consequently, he decided to walk to a place called Fish Ground near the intersection...

There is Transformation in Death
For some species on earth,
there is transformation in death, a renaissance
if you will, becoming young all over again, whether you
see it as reincarnation or rebirth, a new life begins. There is
transformation in death, some lifeforms can be considered
immortal, the cycle continues underneath the ocean waves,
filling the sea with vibrant and deadly limbs. But that’s the
way nature has made them out to be, a wonderful creation of
beauty and wonder, for when their time comes, ...

Syl (with original Patois quotations)
Chapter 1
Family and Friends
A short slim man built a shanty in a squatter settlement near the fishing village in Greenwich Farm. He lived there with his girlfriend and his two little daughters. His name was Sylvester, and everybody called him Syl for short. He also had an illegitimate son who lived with his mother in the country. Syl was a street vendor. He had an old wooden stall on a sidewalk downtown, and he sold a variety of items.
Fishing was Syl’s main hobby. He had two close friend Ronny and Arnold who used to go fishing with him. Ronny and...

Genesis 1.20 and 1.24 Reveal God's Modus Operandi
Genesis One, verses 20 and 24 POINT TO EVOLUTION as God's modus operandi.
It starts off with God bequeathing to Nature ("the waters..the earth") the ability
to create life ("bring forth the moving creature..the living creature..").
But not only is the original creating of life turned over to Nature,
the subsequent development of the species - speciation - is also turned over to Nature -
in the form of the very first original species or lifeforms.
For we read that way back in the beginning, God endowed each lifeform with the power to reproduce...

The Misery Compromise
many, so many flowers to
haul through
the generous dark o'nightime.
i followed along, as any (good)
lizard should, but never
appreciated the fine tuned flutter
that cleared the way before the pall.
florida is always too (bloodlessly) cold
in winter that the 45degree torment
plays fits the very day since the offloading
of the slave trade remnants who newfoundedly
came to it's fresh paradise with no pretense
beyond the pale, empty white-man's
daylight and amusement....

God Plays With LOADED DICE
Einstein claimed "God doesn't play dice with the universe."
But I say God DOES play dice but its loaded dice.
IOW, God uses CHANCE to work evolution, but its chance ENDOWED by God - like dice that have been "endowed" or enabled, enhanced - "loaded."
In Gen. 1.20,24 God commands "the waters..the earth" to create ("bring forth") life forms - the ORIGINAL, earliest species !!
This can mean God endowed or blessed these forms of NATURE ("the waters..the earth") with divine power that they would not otherwise have possessed.
And on top of that, God commanded Nature...

MacroEvolution Goes With MicroEvolution
A lot of people accept microevolution but reject macro. Here's my answer:
Macro is nothing more than micro on steroids.
I mean once u accept micro, its like cancer before the stage 4 metastasis.
I mean once the cancer has begun, the metastasis is just a later stage.
I mean macro is simply micro squared.
It is the LOGICAL extension.
I mean the earliest mammal is the miotreme (?) which secrets milk but has no real breasts, but then the later mammals evolve breasts.
Take the reptilian duck-billed platypus.
It obviously is half reptile, half...

Mermaid
I want to love you across the world.
The land dwelling creature longs for the sea,
Like the horse pines for the dolphin,
Poke your head out and breathe my air.
It is not worth it on land; I'm bored
With the world I know; it is too dry.
Too in step with my own kind;
I want to turn your head around.
I want your gills to grow to lungs.
I want to dive and feel uncomfortable
Living out of my element
To learn my body's limits more.
If I never loved a fish,
A foreign representative,
What would I learn of the...

a somewhat fishy occurrence
"Consider the subtleness of the sea; how its most dreaded creatures glide under water, unapparent for the most part, and treacherously hidden beneath the loveliest tints of azure..... Consider all this; and then turn to this green, gentle, and most docile earth; consider them both, the sea and the land; and do you not find a strange analogy to something in yourself?"
― Herman Melville, Moby Dick
Cascading
the relentless
wave-lipped suck
of seawater,
seeking surprises ...

At The Fish Houses ( After Elizabeth Bishop )
Necessity in death and dying;
its cold nature a hardened breast
of rocks nursing the evolution
of time and time gone by
Come the coastline in season
burning its way through glassy sand
shattered shards of granules
sinking beneath its watery breath
You remembered your mother
that Nova Scotian ice-rattle of lungs;
their spindly pinnacles dissolving
under arthritic air brittle with bone
You sit, serenading a seal
its interest lacking in...
