Yellow daffodils .
When love was
Young
We ran wild into
trees and sunlight
Glory and groom
Green and white
Violet into rains
Yellow in magpies
And mangoes and
Daffodils
We used to run
Wild in summer and
Winter
Yellow hills
With green meadows.

Burning Rubber!
I have used
Hot water bottles
For as long as
I can remember
But grateful
That i didn't develop
A fetish
For warm rubber!
It would only
Of confused things
Especially
As i often use two at a time
A kind of menage a trois
Of rubber
Blisters
And painful confusion
A curious marriage
Must be the Sturgeon Moon
A poor persons caviar
Something fishy.....

My poems,
are an endless
river stream.
There will always
be another one,
endlessly flowing.
It is the river,

water's life and feels alive
Waves on the rocks a' crashing
In it human feet go splashing
And elsewhere in the swollen river
'gator tails go thrashing
Water may be stagnant
or it may be thus moving
Sometimes softly dripping
at times forcefully gushing
In brooks babbling
In streams gurgling
In springs bubbling
In rivers running
From faucets freely flowing
or from pipes coercingly spurting
At times noisily sloshing
But in lakes musically rippling
In it diving and wading
In it refreshing bathing
Or...
In it human feet go splashing
And elsewhere in the swollen river

The Relevant Elephant
A poor thought
Aforethought
So i ought
But got caught
On that thought
So cheaply sought
I then bought
Or thought
I caught
A fish!
Which i laid upon
A dish
And made a wish
For a kish
(Well i was a bit pished!)
So i ate
A potato
In a jacket
(I made no racket)
Not surprised
As it was
So bloody cold!

The Mersirens
A giant goldfish bowl
Splashed into the ocean
The life inside
Swam around
As mercurial bubbles
Rose to the surface
As the fish mouths
Seemed to speak....
From my observations
They kept repeating
Just one word
Bub bub bub
Unknown to me
Every bub
Had possible multiple meanings
And it became to late
Before i realised
That they weren't fish
But an alien invasion force
From a distant water world
Within seconds
Or was it days?
A large bubble
Not disimilar
To the one from The...

[ On Poetry ] Jacks and Jills
Speaking for myself
I want to read spills
bursting from the dam
poet, carrying me away
in their sudden displacements
of my Life's current
volume
Don't leave me puddled up
as a fishy flopping around
on the ground gasping
for what fills these gills
---pour your heart
and soul through them
but only if you're hills-
ide's inclined to do so
It's not like
you don't have the time
and anything better
to do with it
unless...
