Mother Earth
time escapes me as I walk through the earth
ancient things are here that shouldn't be disturbed
energies are given off and shadows are cast
trees very wise and old have seen many a thing die
communicating through their roots the trees talk
keeping record of all that man has wrought
sleeping giants of old
the earth cradles their souls
reclaiming bits of herself with the help of weeds
minerals and crystals are elements of our mother
precious metals that make the earth hum
extending their gifts to human
why consume when...

There is no representation
for the Four-Footed
at any sovereign table;
neither is there a place
for the Feathered-Wing
to perch, void from bullet;
nor Finned-Fish to swim
free of baited hooks;
or, Earthen-Heartbeat
to drum her voice
Man considers himself
superior, but we are not
separate from Nature
One day we'll understand
that we occupy space
as everything in Creation
And, as everything in Creation
are just as susceptible

Vast
I look into the vast pale blue sky
With travelling cloud giants passing by.
How small am I?
Crows squawk a foreboding language.
At the often absurdity of simply being human.
Trying to fit large ego's into tiny toned bodies.
Our problems pale as to the fate of the earth.
Denial never felt so good to the masses.
Climb out of your box.
And look around, wide eyed
At beauty's enormity in every species of life.
Give up your false theory
that the world revolves around you.
The world is vast, let's ensure it lasts.

Insurance
The billionaires are doubling down
no matter what we think
so certain now they wear the crown
with crisis on the brink.
They'll watch us burn, like Nero did,
all from their heaps of cash,
then have contractors underbid
on lots of smoking ash.
The New Year lost no time at all
to show us how it goes,
when ex-urban investment sprawl
burns faster than it grows...
all to teach us that in the deed
is where we've put our faith;
that no torch would convey our greed...
away like the portent...
no matter what we think

Who wants to buy an island, beachfront property going really cheap
For a hundred grand the whole fucking island is yours to keep
Yes, that's right for one hundred thousand you can possess it all
The tons of plastic, glass, and paper products creating this ball
A floating mass of garbage, a problem that no one wants to solve
They just don't realize it's the ecosystem being robbed
All of that plastic poisoning the ocean, killing marine life
And who's catching more hell than the sea turtle's strife

~the wretched state of a state.. & of it’s heartmindbodysoul
the tarred highways
are gateways to hell
..garbages & sewage
in a clogged stagnation
on either stigmatic sides
.. an obnoxious whirlpool
this
wretched nation
buzzing more often
with ominous sirens
of ambulances in
misfortune carriages
of those dying.. haplessly
accelerated to death
in those obstinately
stuck traffic congestion
that is shamelessly
hungering blood
with it’s smoky choking
hot pollution & crowning
blacks of inhumanity

Welcome Back Otter
If I were to return to earth in another lifeform
I would comeback as a Sea Otter
Be part of nature’s cycle and balance
I would be happy to live in the water
I’d be grooming and primping my thick coat of fur
Floating in the ocean under the California sun
Watching and waving at the whales going by
Diving for food and swimming all day would be fun
No matter what religious or philosophical views
Being a marine mammal would teach all a lesson
Perhaps bringing more awareness to humans
And the dangers to the ecosystems would lessen...
